President Biden’s topic was one of utmost importance Wednesday — crime and gun violence. But you wouldn’t know it from the way he spoke.

He slurred his words. He called the ATF “the AFT.” At one point, he talked about the history of the Second Amendment and “the blood of patriots” before concluding that someone would need nuclear weapons to take down the government. If you weren’t confused, you were horrified.

Biden was obviously tired, speaking in barely a monotone. He couldn’t pronounce “cognitive.”

The media would pick apart every appearance of President Trump, saying, even in news stories, that he was “manic,” “exhausted” or some other adjective. Yet a protective circle has formed around Biden, preventing them from stating the obvious: Joe Biden, 78, looked out of it.
Is it news that Biden is a shitty public speaker? Trump had the same “old man speech” in the latter years of his presidency, and you could judge the quality of the publication by whether or not they commented on it.

Some things could have been considered newsworthy, like his weird double handed water drinking, due to his emergency trip to Walter Reid Hospital, but if someone’s writing an article about Trump slipping up and saying the soldiers in the Civil War defended America’s airports, that’s nothing better than a tabloid. It’s old men being old men. Who cares?

Trump is a guy who took every opportunity to disparage people, and never said anyrhing nice about anyone unless they were kissing his ass at the time. He *got* fair treatment from everyone according to his own rules of engagement.

People want not(Trump) because of his policies.

Right. You guys are as reliable as the media who ask Biden hard-hitting questions like, "What's your favourite ice cream flavour?"

Knock knock...
Who's there....
Trump....
Trump who?....
Exactly.
😅🤣😂😐.. knee slapper..

I dont think forgetting a guy who courted neo-fascists is the right way to go forwards. Instead it has to be brought up every time so as not to diminish the threat. Entreating those elements who call for violent overthrow and mix it with rascism and despotism needs to be considered abnormal.

Don't get me wrong, Biden is catering to some of the same. But it has to be out of the light of day because it will cost them their political careers....it helps to keep it controlled if it cant be eliminated. Making overt shit behavior the new normal would remove even this mitigation.

Some good news that even the Trump supporters should be happy about -- a Republican-led investigation into Michigan's 2020 results found no evidence of significant vote fraud in Michigan: Oversight Committee Report
The report is from the state's Oversight Committee, lead by State Senator Ed McBroom (R), along with two other republicans and one Dem as the Minority Vice-Chair.

Some highlights:
  • 2 claims of dead people voting were found to be true. but neither constituted fraud. One was a 118 yr old man who has the same name and same residence as his son. The second was a 92 yr old woman who died four days before the election, however her absentee ballot had been submitted prior to her death.
  • "There was no evidence presented to the Committee indicating that hundreds of thousands of absentee voter ballots were mailed to Michigan voters without previously being requested."
  • "The early allegation of fractional voting was supported by a few photographs which appeared to be screen shots from computer screens running the Dominion software. The chair specifically called for this information during public testimony as its existence would have been a profound demonstration of proof. However, despite numerous, repeated requests from the chair and assurances from those making the allegation, no proof, whether by demonstration or verifiable citation, was ever offered to or obtained by the Committee. "
  • "The Committee can confidently assert that it has been thorough in examination of numerous allegations of unlawful actions, improper procedures, fraud, vote theft, or any other description which would cause citizens to doubt the integrity of Michigan’s 2020 election results."
Unless it goes through the Michigan State Legislature it means nothing.

How many of you heard about the 500 people who stormed the White House, blocking all entrances, and issuing demands?

Didn't think so.

Ah yes, the cop beating sunrise climate protestors again. Armed with assault weapons and ready to throw down for mother nature.

Usual right wing false equivalancy.

Kind of thinking we may see the smarter states that create the wealth break away from the stupid, Evangelical, redneck welfare states.

You can't fix something this broken.

And not one word in that report mentions invading the WH grounds and blocking entrances to make demands and arrests.

And it was one of the rare MSM outlets to even mention it happened.
So 150 climate protestors were outside the White House to protest oil pipelines and some chained themselves to the north west vehicle entrance.
I see reporting from Reuters, Newsweek, The Independent, Fox News, Axios, The Nation, UPI.

The first dominoe in the Trump organization has started to tip over. I wonder how long it will be before the whole Trump family, including daddy Trump, are endicted. Trump senior will be in good company with gangsters like Al Capone, that the government was finally able to put away, not for all the horrible crimes they knew he committed but could not prove, but for tax evasion.

Once again, logic and common sense seem to be strangers to some of you.

The point isn't what was done at the White House, but how it was reported, and how some of you blindly mimic the Democrat arm of the media.

If EXACTLY the same action had been done by people on the right supporting the police, or the oil industry, there would have been a week of denouncements, analysis, investigations and demands for prosecutions for an "assault on democracy."

This thread still never gets any of you to actually comment on the current administration. Nothing on policy announcements, southern border failures, foreign bombing, Biden's failing health, Harris failures, support for CRT, or anything but Trump.

Mostly because no one gives a shit about that moron anymore, he's fading fast in relevance and heading to prison eventually where him and his whole disgusting family belong. End of story. 90% of the Repubelican party belong in there with him.
