Leave before August instead. Twice seen Whitehouse and hiked late June for the solstice. Fine beautiful weather and environment.

I lived in Whitehorse for a year back in 1991. I would check out Miles Canyon just outside of the city, it's absolutely beautiful with a cool suspension bridge you can walk across. The water is bright emerald green, amazing. Takhini Hotsprings is also pretty cool and just outside the city. I also just used to love going on a drive through the mountains to Scagway, Alaska for some fresh halibut and crab.
Was close to the Yukon one winter. Key Pile camp north of Ft Nelson if anybody knows where that is.
