This is a question for the ages "if you flush in the north does water circulate opposite than if you flush in the south".
The effect is the Coriolis effect which is how the atmosphere (think a couple 100 km column of fluid in this case air) is affected by the Earth's rotation. This is the physical effect to cause hurricanes to rotate in different directions in the two hemispheres of our planet. The effect is weakest at the equator and basically in between the latitudes of the Tropic of Cancer/Capricorn.
The effect is proportional to the amount of fluid which would carry the angular momentum of mass being rotated. Think of a pan of water on a turntable. Here you have a pretty fast rotation relatively speaking acting upon a relatively small mass but you get a noticeable effect. If that same pan of water just sits with no extra rotation, there is no movement, so the base effect of the Earth's rotation is not detected.
Mass being the key component here in the argument.
So does a sink, a bathtub, a toilet or a swimming pool for that matter, have enough mass for the cross section between the rotational effect of the Earth and itself to cause a specific rotation?
The effect is so minimal that it is negligible.
The design of the drain is prevalent and if there is any initial rotation.
Try it in your kitchen sink. Pull the plug and see how the water drains.
Then fill it up and try it again, swirling the water in the opposite direction as it starts to drain.

Fighting a fire in the interior, as things have opened up, and some dumbass tosses a lit cigarette…..we where relying on heavy air support, you know …..to protect my teams FREAKING LIVES.
And some other dumbass, flies a Drone into our airspace, stopping all air/water support on a steep incline fire, that already had a fast rate of speed.
My question to “the Brass” was …..” you people need to reconsider us Firefighters carrying firearms”
If your going to smoke in your car, carry a water bottle, to extinguish….if your going to fly a Drone into a fire, your not only going to lose the device, you are going to get charged with an offence for endangering first responders lives, violating an order under evacuation, and violating an emergency no fly zone……unless I get my hands on you first, and shove that Drone up your ass sideways, you fucking moron.
