I wouldn't doubt it. A lot of red states were hiding COVID deaths as pneumonia and other respiratory ailments.
The CDC said a year a go that only six percent of Covid deaths in the US were due to the actual virus. The new CDC director Rochelle Walensky admitted again yesterday that same six percent number.They inflated the numbers.to scare the shit out of people. Where did you get your information from?

Today the official number is around 600,000 people have who died from covid19 in the USA.
On average they were snuffed out by covid19 sixteen years before their time. IOW if covid19 didn't exist they would have lived another 16 years.

I'd have a lot more faith in the CDC than the covidiots infesting online forums.
Better yet to consider multiple highly esteemed health agencies, scientific studies, expert opinions, as well as your own common sense, logic, reason, etc.
Almost everyone has some form of comorbidity. Obesity is a frequently listed one. But if you are 20 pounds overweight and die of covid, covid killed you. Not the comorbidity.
If you died in a car accident and had covid…… you died from covid.

They have been trying to inflate the numbers ever since Fauci said in the beginning that there were going to be 2 million deaths in the US. He needed to change the target when he saw people weren’t dying in those numbers, but governors putting Covid patients in care homes and hospitals being paid to count deaths as Covid related helped inflate those numbers to make Fauci look a little more credible. In the mean time, every therapeutic medicine such as Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin which have been used successful in other countries are discredited now in the US as causing side affects and not safe to use. But we are suppose to believe that vaccines which were never approved at the trial stage are somehow safe. Wow, talking about a leap of faith!

They had a sibling die from covid this week after being on a ventilator for over a week.
There was no car involved.
They did not die because they were obese.
They died because they had covid.
Making jokes about this is really not funny to those who have lost family members.
Think about how you would feel if someone was joking about you if you had lost a child or parent.

My sincere condolences to that member and I totally agree with your last two sentences. My Father died from covid in Philippines early on in the pandemic. He had underlying health issues but was doing good until he caught covid. 3 weeks later he was gone. Facetime was the only possible way to say goodbye.
Its time we all show some respect.

Better to overestimate & have people being safe as a result than to speak like Trump that it was going to go away in a few days (but months later almost 600K Americans are dead *)
