I agree! I lived in California for a while years ago, and I loved the fact that if you sold gas you were required by law (the way I understood it) to provide air and water for free.

You really can't evaluate things by their raw cost. A watch is made up of probably the same cost in various metals. But the amount of work that goes into the design and refinement of those raw materials is far in excess of the materials alone. Sure you can use a watch made in Russia in the 1960s or you can use a watch made by Rolex in the same time period. Functionally the same, but their value would be significantly different.
Razor blades no big deal to me, LD has Fusion pro-glide blades 8 pack for $30 when on special, that lasts me 8 months.
The energy sector now is providing good value if you have a few years of investment patience, 3 - 5 yrs out --- I have been buying in that sector for several months

In Mexico it’s less than $20 CDN for a month of calling to and from anywhere in Canada, Mexico and the US plus 6GB of 4g data and that’s the prepaid rate. I don’t think any carrier here offers a product like that as it includes unlimited North America wide LD and roaming but it would probably cost hundreds. Yeah the prices here are absurd.
Modern razor blades are a scam through and through. Over 1 billion men still use the ol' double edge razor and it's a great saving: approx $15 for 100 blades. The blade only cuts your skin once, not 5 times like modern razors. Use each blade about 5-7 times then toss. With the right blade, it just glides across your skin. Highly recommended.
I use italianbarber.com (Canadian) for online purchases of razor, blades and soap. Some of the newer razors are really handsome pieces of steel and will look fantastic on your bathroom counter.

Air Canada and Cineplex are recovery plays worth considering though IMO.
