Athough how you word or phrase your sentence/s is what really matters. Asking nicely/politely can avoid misunderstandings. And imo, in this hobby, I’m sure many have preferences, I for one, have my own and I like knowing the ethnicity of the person I’m with. Like in Asians, a broad term, I’d wanna know if she’s Korean, Japanese, Thai, etc., it can be a culture topic for an ice-breaker, just for example.
