The province stopped reporting possible school exposures last week. What does that tell you? NYC has shut down schools with a 3% positivity rate. We're at 14%.
I get it. We, as a society, are not going to tell our kids, they're killing Grandma and Grandpa. We'll tell the 18-35 year olds, because they're being labeled as entitled little shits.
If we're going to lock it down, then lock it down. And fine those that don't comply. Walk the fucking walk!

Agree, school children I know are a LOT more safety conscious that the bar crowd.
Bars should never have been re opened. IMO they are the source of the problem. You have stupid health care aides who work at hospitals and care homes and going to the bar.

Honestly who cares about testing, it really does nothing. You could get the all clear, walk out of you house and the next person you have close contact with can give it to you! I find it extremely irresponsible of SP's to be travelling right now plying their trade. My ATF arrived in the city on Thursday and I will not see her, and due to her selfishness of seeing people during this time I will never see her again. I think her actions are selfish and disgusting! It is actions like hers that have us in this mess and locked down!

We are the Covid hot spot in the country FFS!! The chances of these ladies getting sick here are way higher than in other cities, why would anyone come here ATM? People are just not paying attention the the world around them. With any luck the guys in the next city a girl visits after us will look at her schedule and think twice. Typhoid Mary was an SP right?
And when you contract Covid, I assume you are going to voluntarily refuse medical care, which will put an additional strain on our health care system as well as endangering health care workers.

Agreed, all of us in the medical field are feeling the stress and especially those on the front lines. I have a young Dr friend working ER in Detroit and in the last 11 months they have had more deaths in their ICU and critical care units than the last six years combined.

The point is you self isolate for potential exposure if symptoms develops then get tested. A few weeks back, it was a warm and windy Saturday my two neighbours and I were talking in his front yard (6 to 10 feet apart) I was up wind of the other two. Two days later one became ill and tested positive, so I and my other neighbour neighbour were ordered to isolate, I have been fine by my other neighbour whom was down wind and likely 10 feet away became ill and tested positive. Sunday I finish my 14 days and by the way we are all under 39. The other two sag it is the sickest they have ever been.
We all see the nightmare the US is facing but what we do not realize is the death rate in Canada per 100,000 is actually higher

I think you missed my point, what I am saying is, for example you have now isolated for 14 days, you are free of the virus, the next person you see can give it to you and you won't know. I am saying just because you tested negative does not mean a thing as the very next person you meet can give it to you.
True, personally because of my work since last April I have been tested 9 times. I change cloths and shower at work before coming home, I change cloths in my garage when I get home, put on a house coat and go directly to the shower again.
