Good evening gents,

Something has come to my attention recently. I am an early 30s, well mannered gent with all due consideration to hygiene, presentation etc., however I am increasingly encountering handlers either ignoring my texts or becoming intermittently cold or unresponsive despite a previous good rapport and with repeat bookings. I recently had to cancel an appointment the morning of due to symptoms of a cold, and wanted to do the right thing and get covid tested, so I came clean and offered to compensate for this same-day cancellation. What I wonder is why I neither get an acknowledgment of my apology nor an answer to my offer of compensation. I’ve lived in both Montréal and Toronto and have had preferred status at a couple agencies there. In fact, the whole concept of sex work seems to be less taboo, and more customer service driven, which might explain my different experience there. But here, from time to time, I find myself feeling either rejected or “ghosted” despite obvious cause. I get that this is a business and is only as successful as it is profitable for both handlers and SPs, however why not try to build solid relationships with repeat customers? Am I alone in this? I am not soft of ego or unaware of the concept of supply and demand, but Vancouver just seems a little “different” than other places. Not an attack on anyone in particular, but an observation. Hopefully this can generate some healthy discussion. If others are preferred customers and have been more successful, feel free to share your recommendations on how to improve my standing in this community!

Sounds like you've done nothing wrong. If they don't want your business, they shouldn't get it. I think it all comes down to how the agency/amp/micro is run. The good ones know how to keep good customers happy.

not knowing the entire story and circumstances , I can only assume that symptoms of a cold are similar to COV19 and the agency does not want to risk any contact with anyone who remotely could be a carrier and if the compensation was not adequate for the time booked, I would believe that they would just replace the time with some one else and not bother spending time on a lesser amount. In addition I have found that appointments are sometimes set aside for a more lucrative booking ie: a two hour appointment made around the same booked time as your one hour bumps you for more cash. Some places have no scruples about dropping a lesser value booking for one that gets them more money. I try to stick with independent ladies rather than deal with some one who makes decisions for some one else about who they see based on dollar value.
If I can't text or talk to someone I want to see , I do not visit.

But if its your first time messaging them, how would you know? Some are not obvious, i have read reviews that stated it ended up being a handler
That is what this board is for, if I like an ad , I will check for reviews and find out if it is an agency or an independent lady. If there are no reviews , I will pass until there is or ask the board. A handler will likely agree to everything you ask for services and give you short replies such as "of course" and "sure" whereas an independent will say something like" I would love to do that for you , hun" or "that is my personal favorite , love".

TOAO I think you're right. The difficult part is when you've actually clicked with an SP and would like to see them again (and hope the feeling's mutual), yet have to deal with potentially non-communicative handlers. I wonder if SPs recommend to their handlers who they wish to prioritize?

Theres a couple of girls i have asked about, They seem to be posting on LL for a while but zero hits on my questions. I need to buy a burner...... I messaged one girl and she didnt reply same day and messaged back 2 days later with a somewhat explicit message. Luckily I recently turned off my message previews on my phone!

Covid symptoms and flu are almost indistinguishable, but I'm not sure how that would lead to them suddenly not wanting to contact me after I told them I need to cancel and get tested. Also, I offered to compensate whatever they wished, including the full fee. But yes, I hear you on the 1hr vs longer appointments - probably just their way of doing business. My issue is being kept in the dark when I've previously offered them good business and am likely to in the future. Why not just send a quick text "Hey sorry your appointment was bumped by a 2 hour booking....sorry bro" or "priority will be given to longer bookings"? At least then it would be somewhat transparent, however irritating.

you wasted their time. they don't know if you're lying about your symptoms or just some BS. at the end of the day you wasted their time and they don't want to waste anymore time responding to you

don't take it too personal.

girls have handlers because GIRLS WANT to have handlers. you sound completely oblivious to the ongoings of this business.

In most cases I would think that sending a message of your booking being cancelled would start a chain of messages back and forth about business practices and other issues they do not want to deal with so ghosting is a cleaner break. I would also think that ANY mention of COVID symptoms would mark that number on a blacklist as the scare is real when it is close to them and especially if you had been seeing multiple girls in the same place.

I think it's probably just that they're so busy they don't have time always to respond if you're messaging to cancel. They're probably busy trying to book someone else for that time or move appointments around to accommodate others. Don't take it too personally and be glad they didn't take any money from you.

All the time. They've told me and I've watched them decide after our session whether to take a client or not.
