Maybe it's just me, but in perusing the ads on LL and reading the number of recent reviews it seems like there has been a major influx of new ladies working at some of the more popular massage establishments lately. Between The Studio and the Bridgwater/Osborne/St. B groups it seems like they're definitely not hurting for new girls. Curious if this is just kind of the way things go or if some of this may be a bit more driven by the effects of things being shut down due to Covid for so long.

I would guess it it most certainly due in large part to a slow economy, and it's not going to get better any time soon.

There was a lot of people living on the financial edge before the crisis. With the bar and dining sector going to complete shit, alot of these ladies that were in service, living on tips are probably suffering quite a bit now. There will probably continue to be an influx, but not a lot will stick around either as I'm sure this industry is hard on a lot of them.

Yup and not all of them will be able to do a FS. So will probably see more ladies with the massages that has HE. My guess too is that it’s only for the time being

If you read about escorts experiences or watch documentaries/read studies it seems the opposite is true. Women are initially reluctant to enter into it for the "ick" factor but can't go back to regular jobs after making the kind of money a half decent escort makes. Research seems to indicate too that despite the stereotype of sexworkers getting into the biz to pay for drug habits, the majority start out clean and develop drug habits after starting in sex work making it real hard to leave. We will see I guess, Covid ain't going nowhere and might just be getting started.

SPs have disparate approaches to market changes.

In Thailand, when the economy is down and business is slow, they lower rates to attract customers and make up for lost income.

In Rio, they raise rates to make up for lost income.

I wonder which actually works.

I guess it depends. If they lower their rates they have to see more clients, which now is not that advisable with the COVID going on
