Hi all, I've been using some dating apps for a while now and every now and then some really attractive girl ask if they can add me on wechat. Once added, they tell me that they're actually an independent service. They send some really nice pictures. I reverse image search them every time. Sometimes it finds something, sometimes it doesn't. They tell me that I can come and check them out and refuse their service if its not the same girl. I've heard of some scams before so I'm a bit iffy on even "checking" them out.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Even if they are "legit" they sound pretty desperate for clients. Typically there is a reason for that.

Well, there is s shortage of variety these days, but why waste time and potentially money on crap like that? Very few of those AMP type agencies/parlours use real photos. AF does, but that's about it.

In what way do they sound desperate though. I get Asian fever is in another league but I don’t see in what way they sounded desperate

They're picking up clients off of a dating app. They're using fake photos (usually.) They say to come by, if you don't see anyone you like you can leave, but they'll use the same high pressure tactics of a used car salesman to make you feel obligated to engage them. If you don't like the word "desperate," you can always substitute "shady marketing practices."

Sometimes I will suggest after some long attempts to verify the reality of the lady’s pictures…which is usually easy after some experience…‘I’ll book 45 minutes for now and if the picture is real…book me for 60 (or up to 90)? That can tell you the reality sometimes.
