So I switched from looking at Jeep to this model. I'm considering pre-2010. Which years should I avoid and which are good? How is the fuel economy? Thx
Had several Pathfinders and no real problems with them till they switched in 2012 and then they had several problems with the transmissions of those models during the 2012, 2013 years. So I switched from looking at Jeep to this model. I think it depends on the make and the mileage. For example a Prius will get to 500,000 km if maintained, so if that’s what you’re after you can find one for less than $10k with less than 100,000 km and get 10 years out of it easy.I’m with mercyshooter. It’s too old. Buy newer. The sweet spot is 2-3 years old. Cars last 12 years. After that they are too expensive to maintain.
You are better off taking a loan and making payments on a newer vehicle than repairing an older one.
It's a simple issue to deal with if it hasn't occurred already. There is a simply bypass procedure that allows this issue to be avoided. Buying a new radiator at a local shop for about 500 bucks (I priced it) will also fix the issue. These trucks are incredibly reliable otherwise. I loved mine.A friend owned one and it cost him thousands due to this problem.
