If you want to truly see the devastation of DECADES of Democrat Government take a look at California.Well over a million homeless in the Sunshine State. You cant walk through the streets of San Fransisco without stepping on a dirty needle of human feces. It makes a walk down East Hastings seem like a run through a sun kissed green meadow full of grass and buttercups.

SR
The homeless epidemic isn't specific to 'The Sunshine State' (which happens to be Florida) nor The Golden State (California) or The Evergreen State (Washington), etc. Every metropolitan area struggles with this. To label it a Republican or Democrat problem (conservative or liberal) is missing the point, (plus just tossing blame is thoughtless and lazy)...it's basic economics of earnings vs. housing. The current minimum wage scale does not cover the rent of a 1 bedroom house/apartment in almost every city. Is the answer more affordable housing? Ask any landlord that question and he'll explain that he'd be losing money every month and wouldn't invest. Is the answer Government rent subsidies? Go talk to any fiscal conservative politician about how to fund that. Is the answer to raise the minimum wage? Ask a small business owner how he'd be able to make pay roll.

Assigning blame to one party or another is simply pointless, with over 1/2 million people living in some form of homelessness, this far outreaches the grasp of Rep/Dem dynamics, but we'll continue to point the finger at the particular party that just so happens to be in charge at the time.

Perhaps California can adopt South Park's solution, buy all the homeless a one-way ticket to Denver.

A thread about an SNL SKIT.....fuck I wont even watch the video.SNL is so Liberal slanted it is off the charts.SNL fired Norm MacDonald over his political rantings and THEY were actually funny.SNL has not produced anything of quality in 20+ years EXCEPT for the election night episode a week or a day after Trump WON featuring Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle with both of them mocking the "woke" white folks in the room....now that was funny....Chris and Dave fucking SKEWERED the "woke" white SJW crowd for the fact it was the Democrats in the Southern States who were PRO Slavery and now the Democrats of TODAY say they best represent African Americans.

In California now are the RICH and the POOR and the DESTITUTE for the most part....what is left of the MIDDLE CLASS have fled long ago due to the shitty Governance of the Democrats for DECADES.

SR
Please dispute the FACTS I have LISTED.....pretty PLEASE with fucking SUGAR on TOP as well as cream and berries and a fistfull of granola for all of the tree huggers and why not some rainbows for the real nut jobs.

Yeah you have knocked what I have said and said I am an essentially an " asshole".....yet at the same time you dont have the FUCKING STONES to debate/dispute actual facts.Go for a drive through California right now I just fucking DARE you...no I TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU to take a days worth of walking the streets of Las Angelas or San Fransisco. In LA the "skid row" is 55 square blocks.....that makes East Hastings and all of it's problems seem like a small blister on the foot.

SR
You're starting to remind me of Tim, all those capitalized words.......and hijacked the thread and turned it way off track...good job

Thank you for that contribution John. I know you have some experience in the US so you're speaking from experience and it's not theoretical. I appreciate your reasoned posts that are generally congenial and free of vitriol. Many on this board could take a page from your book on civil public discourse.

I'm a huge fan of Norm Macdonald, everything I've ever seen him say about the subject is that he believes he was fired because he kept making OJ Simpson jokes, who was a close friend of NBC exec Don Ohlmeyer.

I deleted my own posts last night. In a nutshell, I felt uncomfortable after posting about an extreme experience I had. And, due to other life experiences, I can see the hypocrisy in myself after I used the somewhat shallow solution of just reporting sexual assault.
I understand why victims are hesitant. I only mentioned one experience, I’ve had several. And I haven’t made a formal report on any of them, so who the fuck am I to suggest to others that reporting to police is the easy solution. I’m a fucking hypocrite for that! And,as I said before, a benefit of the #metoo movement is that it brought attention to a serious issue. I posted stats last night... I misplaced the lecture notes, I’m very tired right now, but it was something like 20-some-thousand per year on formal reports in contrast to approximately 636,000 per year reported on victimization surveys

I have empathy for sexual assault victims. Not only is the process of attempting to report something reliving the trauma, some cops are assholes and some people because of who they are, or who they are related to or associated with, are protected. The world is a fucked up place. But, at the same time, I also have empathy for people who have their lives ruined over false, or trivial accusations. Opening the doors for mob justice isn’t the answer. There is work being done to improve the legal system, but it’s a very slow process, changes take time. It’s a very complicated issue with no easy solution.
Watching "Jeffrey Epstein Filthy Rich" on Netflix, reminded Me of this Thread .

The abuse of Power, Wealth, and Corruption are clearly evident in this Sexual Predator's history ! And how, the Victims are Silenced !
Like most Sexual Predators, He chose his Victims, based on their Vulnerability .

How He got away with this for Decades, really makes You wonder !

Speaking of power, corruption and predators/pedophiles/child prostitution rings ... The Franklin Coverup written by John W. DeCamp is a very informative book, if you can stomach reading it.

I happen to be an accidental landlord. I didn't set out to become a landlord, but, due to the principle of "shit happens", I became one.

I have great tenants, and I return the favour by not raising the rent. I've kept it the same for six or seven years. I don't need to make a profit; I just want the place to cover its expenses. I'd like to continue without increasing the rent, but against my own wishes, I may have to raise it. Why? Because the property taxes have inexorably increased, year after year. They're twice what they were ten years ago. The municipality keeps raising taxes so they can pay for things like useless "green" initiatives and other stuff that is meaningless and useless to me and to my tenants. If governments want to encourage affordable housing, they need to stop placing ever-increasing burdens on those of us who are willing to make some available.

Maybe some Justice for the Victims, will be served after all .
Epstein's accomplice, and enabler, has been arrested .
Let's just cross our Fingers, that Ghislaine Maxwell suffers the full Penalty of the Law !
Which might bring some form of solace, for the many Women who were abused !

Who wants to place bets on if and when she will be found dead from "suicide" in her jail cell?
