Masks and Sex

I have a couple of health issues that make me more vulnerable to Covid. I have been self-isolating for three months, except for shopping and bike rides in between rain storms, but I needed a release.

An encounter last week didn't work out, but luckily an old SP friend got in touch and we decided to hook up. I wore a mask. It would seem impractical for an SP to wear one.

I can't kiss, it's just too risky, anyway, so the mask wasn't an issue there.

Ditto for going down on her. Can't take the mask off to take that risk.

Now, as far as actual sex, here's the problem - it's moderately strenuous exercise, and once you start breathing hard, it's difficult to get enough oxygen, and it's very hot. A mask really, really kills any mood, even before you start, but the nearly suffocating I found more of a problem. I can't logistically see any way around this, and might have to become celibate until a vaccine is found.

Has anyone else tried it while wearing a protective mask?

What about seeing if your SP friend will do all the work. Cowgirl and reverse Cowgirl would work for me. I am sure other SP's would be willing to give a guy a helping hand, mouth and do the work.?

I forgot where I read it, maybe an English health PSA, but it literally suggested reverse cowgirl and doggie style as lower risk positions for casual partners.
Here’s an idea: set pedestal fans to blow perpendicular to your, and your partner’s exhalations. Set up next to a wide open patio door and let the fans blow the droplets outside. If it’s hard to catch the virus outdoors, it would seem doing doggie in simulated wind while practically outside would be a safer option.

CT, I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. What I'm about to say you probably won't like. There are many ways to become infected from this virus. Wearing a mask may reduce your chances a little bit, but it's not a substitute for safe distancing and thorough handwashing.

What you neglected to do was to protect your eyes. The virus can be transmitted that way as well. If you're going to take a risk in visiting a SP, I suggest you buy a face shield and wear it with a mask to compliment the mask. You'll also need to ensure the SP has no way of breathing under the shield if you want to be as safe as possible when engaging in this hobby.
Yes, but isn't that true wherever we go, and whenever we're out? A cough or sneeze in the aisle of a store can linger in the air, and anyone can walk through the possible Covid mist while wearing a mask. If it's that deadly, why is anyone going out at all?

I won't go into Walmart or Costco any longer because of all the idiots that walk around and don't give a rat's ass about social distancing.

I was at the cashier in WM and some asshole comes right up to the cashier while ringing up my purchases and asks the cashier within 2 feet of my face to do a price check.

Lucky the cashier told him no and to get back in the line-up and wait his turn. I was two seconds away from knocking him on his ass.

Everyone else was just shaking their heads. Needless to say, also that no one seems to pay attention to aisle one-direction signage.

Jeez, as if aa mask doesn't kill the mood, a full face shield certainly will.

Think a dry suit and full scuba gear might be next.
