Nascar has really dug themselves a hole by buying into the latest racism hoax. Bubba Wallace's "noose" never existed. Even after the FBI proved there was no "noose", Wallace has gone full Jussie, still claiming it was a noose, that he either did, or did not see, depending on what he says on any given day. A noose is meant to tighten when cinched, a miniature non-slip, link knot will allow the opening to remain open, so your fingers don't get pinched when pulling on it.

By holding a BLM procession, and wake for his trauma, Nascar has embarrassed themselves badly. Crowds for the group that accelerates, and turns left will never be the same.

False accusations of a "hate crime" is very serious. I have yet to see anyone apologize for this. WTF is wrong with people?

If anyone sees any apologies posted from the accusers, please share it here.

It is important to note that Nascar, not Bubba Wallace, discovered and reported the supposed noose in the garage. This is not another Smollett case at all. Wallace was informed of the noose by NASCAR president Phelps Sunday night.

I also heard from BW that this was brought to him and he reacted to what he was told, not what he saw first hand. I do believe though that he should have confirmed the situation before going all racist on NASCAR and the world in general. I think he should apologize for jumping to conclusions, Phelps should do a major apology to all and sundry, and whoever told him there was a noose in BW's garage should be held to account since I don't see Phelps as wandering around the garages unless the talent is there. If it was him (Phelps) that found it and he doesn't know the difference between a garage door pull and a noose, then that fool has no business around cars and should be fired.

On a lighter note, something like this could well be a new toy for Miss Hunter in her enterprise, attach the "noose" to the appropriate part of his anatomy and have the poor dear running back and forth opening and closing her garage door.

Apparently there was a video shot showing the noose, not the one above but a different pic of the
door pull noose hanging in the garage since 2019 in Wallace's spot that he was given.

Something really fucked up going on here.
I am hoping it's not in Wallace's pit as on race day I saw Richard Petty consoling BW while
leaning over the top of his car. Remember Wallace is driving the #43 car.

I would just hate to think that Richard Petty could be involved in any type of racial bigotry
cover up whatsoever. That would be just unthinkable to any gear head.
The great RIchard Petty all time mopar car driver except for one stint with ford
involved in some way with this? Somehow I just doubt it.
God I hope I'm right, but as BW was talking earlier today he still smells a rat
so he said.

Petty signed Wallace to his race team, which is why he's driving #43. The "noose" was never a noose, but a link knot. Once race baiter Al Sharpton gets involved, you things have gone totally nuts. Here is part of an editorial from the NY Post about the hysteria around this:

Wallace could have stepped up and thanked everyone who backed him and been a symbol of thoughtfulness, reconciliation and calm for the rest of his life. His endorsement value would have skyrocketed. Instead, he refused to take the win: “It wasn’t directed at me,” Wallace said angrily on CNN, “but it was a noose.”

Huh? The whole point of the investigation is that Wallace is the sole black driver at the top level. If it wasn’t meant for him, it was meant for . . . a white driver? Then how was it a hideous symbol of racist Southern lynch mobs?

Atlantic columnist Jemele Hill said on Monday that the not-noose was part and parcel of a racist institution, “a disgusting reminder of who this sport is for.”

Afterward, she doubled down with a tweet claiming, “It. Was. A. Noose. They just don’t believe it was directed at Bubba Wallace.” So why is she or anyone else angry on Bubba’s behalf? Al Sharpton tripled down, saying on MSNBC that he wanted the probe to continue until, I suppose, the answer he wants has been supplied. Coincidentally, the more hate crimes are in the news, the more airtime Sharpton gets.

Why is Sharpton appearing on MSNBC to discuss hate crimes that didn’t really happen, anyway? Does Bernie Madoff get to appear on CNBC to give investment tips?

“Even if they did not know that Bubba Wallace was going to use that stall, why was a noose in the stall?” Sharpton said on MSNBC. “Clearly, from what we just saw from Bubba Wallace, it does not seem he, who is the victim and possible target in this matter, seems to be satisfied with this.”

Victim? Target? If the “noose” wasn’t a noose, and not meant for Bubba, nothing happened to Bubba, and nothing racist happened at all.

NASCAR president Steve Phelps says NASCAR conducted a "thorough sweep of all 29 tracks where they race, and 1684 garage stalls, they found only 11 total ropes that had a pulldown rope tied in a knot, and just one noose: The one in Bubba Wallace garage."

The pic just posted from NASCAR is a noose, not a pull down rope.

And someone knew he was going to be in that race, and be assigned that stall, back in October? Right.

A noose is the best way to tighten around a dowel that's easier to grab for a pull down. This is in my garage right now. Very crude and quickly done, admittedly not a full noose, but it's just because I didn't want to take the time to do one properly at the time.

Went to a NASCAR race once, quite the spectacle, but the race itself wasn’t particularly exciting if truth be told.

Racism is the flavour of the summer. Not to diminish what happened to George Floyd but, at least in Canada, the public appetite for protesting pipelines and global warming rapidly dissipated when COVID - 19 became a reality. The professional left need something to promote, just as the professional right do. Not surprising a garage pull turned into a noose.

You’re so right Uncled.
I don’t follow it at all but a couple of my buddies are hardcore. All they ever talk about is the crashes.
I went to one once, never again, 4 hours I will never get back. Walmart crowd stuffing their faces with huge turkey legs, washed down by Jack Daniels. Wild!!

There will be a rogue garage that will have spare rope. I wonder who society will lynch in the future? Not that we need rope when we can lynch by social media

Frankly, I don't get the excitement. It's a bunch of cars with roughly the same performance, making left turns for ~500 or so laps. I mean, maybe it's the just the right level of excitement for keeping people who're pissed on cheap beer and greasy food.

I mean, when it comes to interesting motorsports F1 is certainly well and above NASCAR. And the same can be said for numerous other vehicle racing circuits, endurance, bikes, etc. And then there's the air racing circuit, for those with piles of money and a life insurance policy...
Nascar was at it's best when it really was racing. When 7 liter 427 cubic engines and Mopar Hemi's 426 cubic
inch engines were used that it was really racing. There were no or very few bunched up herds of cars
at all. He who had the most power and the best engineered machine usually won the race. That is if lucky
enough to avoid a wreck. Now wrecks are more common than ever especially when they instilled the
use of restrictor plates in the mid to late eighties I think it was.

That turned all nascar into billboard racers. If that little prick from the nhl (Bettman) was somehow
involved with Nascar he would have loved this idea.
That was about the time I lost all interest in Nascar. There was no more looking over the other
guys shoulder for a hint of going faster. Didn't need to now as it's all cookie cutter cars.
BORING!!!!!

What a shame that they took the sport out of auto racing like Nascar, I mean you even get
speeding tickets since the late .90's there if you were going faster than a posted speed limit
in the pit lanes. WTF?! Screw that shit.

Back to F1 for sure for quite some time now.
Most certainly do enjoy the Indianapolis 500

The beautiful Fraser Valley !
This Situation seems to have gotten blown way out of proportion ?
But, You've got to give NASCAR some credit for trying to change attitudes !
The Sport is heavily rooted in the Southern States, with lots of Fan support coming from those States .

NASCAR banning the display of the Confederate Flag ( And what it represents !) inside all of their Track Facilities, with no regard for offending any of the "Good Old Boys", seems to be a positive step in the right direction !

Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr, isn't the 1st Black Driver in NASCAR, and He won't be the last .

The 1st Black Driver in NASCAR was Wendell Scott, when NASCAR actually raced modified Stock Cars .

This whole Episode sort of reminds Me of a Dave Chappelle bit about Sneaker Deals...

Mr Q.

P.S. To walk away from a Crash like this is unbelievable !
