The highlights:

Gatherings of 2-6 people permitted in time for long weekend.

Retail stores, hair salons, child care, restaurants, libraries and museums could reopen soon.

Provincial parks expected to open for day use on May 14.

Overnight camping could be allowed in June.

Hotels, movie theatres and the film industry might reopen in the summer.

Schools expected to be open for classes in September.

All reopenings will depend on detailed plans to avoid transmission of COVID-19.

Nightclubs, bars and casinos will not reopen anytime soon.
The ban on gatherings of more than 50 people remains in place.

Hair salons opening could also include spas? Here’s to hoping!

Maybe masks are mandatory though?

PPE will likely be required regardless. Also lots of places will be taking measures to put up plexiglass barriers like the ticket windows you see at some hockey rinks. It is a different world my friends.

Massage spas come under Personal service. That's Phase 2. Now the Swedish Touch had a Bodyrub license before, now they hold a holistic license, which is why they are not allowed to play adult videos during sessions as they used to in the Brandi owned days. Holistic would come under Health related. Platinum Club also has a holistic permit as do the other spas. Not sure about the Fox Den, I believe that license is a private club so that's fuzzy wuzzy. But massage spas are still a Personal service so that's Phase 2.

In the slides Hogan presented, it listed spas and non-medical massage under phase 3.

Well ultimately it comes down to interpretation of the law.
These massage places we like to frequent don’t exactly follow the “rules” anyways and the owners are running them in a way that they can get away with.

You can’t sell sex in Canada but you can sell a massage and you can pay for companionship. Whatever transpired in the room is between two consenting adults.

Being open and perhaps providing the “services” us fine gentleman are looking for are probably two different things.
I’m sure ppe will be required and you exactly dfk or daty while wearing a mask.

Again it’ll come down to two consenting adults in a room together deciding the ppe isn’t necessary, not sure how the law would react to that. If LE were to show up and enter the room finding some pooner with his head between the legs of the masseuse I’m not sure what would happen!

Perhaps we’ll need to settle for r and t’s only at this time while the masseuse and us pooners don masks?

Ultimately it will be up to the spa owners and how they interpret the law.
How all these businesses can be run safely will be the main concern.

From the article

“Different sectors will be asked to develop plans for how they can meet the expectations of public health officials, and WorkSafeBC will work with industry associations to make sure those plans are adequate.

In all cases, the priorities will be physical distancing measures to keep people at two metres from each other, masks if that isn't possible and frequent cleaning — especially for areas that are touched by many people.”

The kid in me chuckled at “areas touched by many people.” The popular girl at Tiger will need to Lysol her pussy frequently!

I don't visit sexual massage parlours, but I think now that community spread of covid-19 has all but dried up in BC, I will be contacting my regular independent to see when and if they feel comfortable with me returning to seeing them. Hopefully she'll be part of doubling my bubble.

I was wondering about the wording as well.I suppose a "bar" would mean the ground-floor area of a hotel (beer parlor in olden terms,called pub today)where a pub is a
stand-alone business serving food as well as drinks?

In either case social-distancing will be challenging, more so than in restaurants,imo.

Selling sex is legal in Canada and inside the city of vancouver and across BC a lowest level of enforcement s being applied so massage parlors are allowed to have consenting adults engaging in private exchanges within the business.

A group of us are working on opening plans for submission to government and hope to push for reopening alongside hair salons and registered massage therapy, We also hope to push for reopening of strip clubs alongside "pubs".

The whole discussion lately about reopening the British Columbia 'economy' underscores just how dismal an economy can get even without a lockdown. Unless the restaurants and hair salons are catering to foreign tourists, a very unlikely situation, British Columbians are self intitaled to the point of expecting to get rich cutting each other's hair and serving each other's meals. How can the money that British Columbians either earn or receive from government programs be worth anything beyond trading amongst themselves? How can British Columbia merchants, be that either a retailer or a plumber picking out the best faucet to install for you or a librarian picking out books for the library or a surgeon finding medical equipment find anybody to honour the money to stock the shelves?

Before their website went down, the Black Orchid agency in Nanaimo said they'd re-open when salons opened up. Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but that seems to me a rather arbitrary guideline to pick, and if BC's plan included escort agencies it would place them months later. It'll probably take weeks after they re-open before the ladies working there stop being nervous and cutting services they allow during sessions. My fear is that DFK will become the new BBFS, in that all the escorts worth seeing won't even consider it.
