I guess people are just incapable of discussing the facts and just want to resort to throw mud around rather then discuss the problem and what is being done about it. It really saddens me that people are so focused on disliking Trump that they are convinced he can do nothing right and everything he does is wrong. As a lower 49er, I completely agree that communication is paramount...unless the info being communicated is chock-full of half-truths, 'hunches' and outright lies. POTUS (or POS) only cares about himself and getting re-elected, so whatever he says must be looked through that prism. He was given the opportunity to soothe the psyche of The American people when a reporter (Jennings) lobbed him a soft-ball about what he could tell the frightened public what his administration could do to ease their fears...#45 instead attacked the reporter.
That asshat is now using any opportunity to include the phrase 'Chinese Virus' (even members of his cabinet are adopting it) instead of COVID or Corona.
So, yes communication is critical just as long as The Liar in Chief isn't the one doing it
There are things I like about Trump and there are things I dislike about Trump but based on watching the press conferences for the last few days it seems to me he is doing a pretty good job at handling this crisis.
Can you tell me specific things he has done that have made the situation worse then it could have been?
He seems to have put together a pretty good team and he is letting them stand out front and tell us what they are doing rather then make it look like he is doing it all himself. Which does not sound like the Trump I hear the Trump haters describe.
He has been having daily press conferences bringing us up to date with a lot of good information.
He has been praising many democrats for what they are doing that he thinks is good for the crisis.
I wish he would not call it the Chinese virus and not keep complaining about the Chinese and how long it took them to inform the rest of the world what is going on.
