As a good Canadian boy I love my hockey, but something tells me that this is NOT important, not at all.

As far as NHL games being on for the purpose of watching them, that's not important to me. Relative to watching a good movie, i find watching hockey (like baseball & soccer etc) is boring.

My entertainment life (movies, gambling, sex, etc) is certainly important to me. But, perhaps, there is at least one person here who has completely given up on theirs, eh?

The conclusion of the NHL regular season this year is important to me from a financial perspective. I have pending futures wagers on several of the teams.

Everyone has the right to what is or is not important to them. Having said that; it's not a crime nor immoral to have an interest in a game, whether that be in times of war or emergency or normalcy. In fact, I would say that in times of extreme situations we desire normalcy more than anything else: being Canadian, there are few things as comforting as the normalcy of watching a hockey game on television. In any event, perhaps I'm over-reaching here, but your opinion that hockey being "NOT important" reeks of virtue signalling.

I have not watched an NHL game since 2 lockouts back.....I dont give a rats ass about it.My parents immigrated from Britain and not once as a kid did I get subjected to Hockey Night in Canada via the CBC

I have no care about Billionaire's bitching with Millionaires.

The average "family" cant afford to go to a game...so yeah that is bad

Hockey kind of died to me when the NJ Devils invented the trap. Never the same with offense and today the NHL has too many teams.

Damn sir! You do know they changed all the rules regarding clutching and grabbing some time ago;) Also removed the center line to speed up the game too! Heck, they even limited the size of goalie equipment some time ago - all to try and increase the speed and scoring in the game! Just saying;)
