I was going for the smaller models... Still 1500 lbs at 30 km/h is enough to ruin your day.....

I think someone once said "Driving is a privilege, not a right"....

People like speed, so they should speed responsibly and not like a get away car in a movie.....

Never mind driving just being stopped at intersection I see bimbos looking down and texting and not going then the light turns green and they sit there until almost red and someone gives them a honk they look up and roars thru the light that is turning red and fingers the honker which leaves everyone stuck at the light still

Unless they have a big black diesel with a bush bar in their rear view mirror......doing a smoke show.
They tend to stop texting and move along when the black smoke engulfs their car, and it hops sideways....I've done that and got pulled over by a cop in the next block in Kamloops, and the cop said " that was awesome, I'm not even going to give you a warning!".....you gotta love that second gear.

I think it's our technology. We have no patience to wait.

Everything has to be done for us by technology, and has to be done instantly.

Cars ahead driving the limit - flash the beams, tailgate, blast past it or run into it.

Order too slow at the take-out - scream at the minimum wage kids, or trash the place.

Web site taking 1/2 second, instead of 1/8th of a second to load - get exasperated and swear at the computer.

Can't wait to tell Justin or Avery you've got a new nail polish - text them while driving.

Don't like waiting in line - shout, or throw papers around.

Can't wait to get home to play video games - speed, run lights, cut people off, drive on the shoulder (Saw them all today).

Personally, I think as much as it removes us from the experience, and there might be some glitches, self-driving cars will ultimately be a lot safer than going up against some of the careless, selfish and certifiable morons, driving out there now.

This is my own opinion, quite a few people are to lazy to use there turn signal or just to stupid, they don't think that using a signal to inform another driver to there intention is necessary. Then there is the driver who is going along and slams on his breaks to turn and then turns on his turn signal, he know's where he's going and don,t give a shit to let anyone else know.

A lot of people get the green light at traffic signal and just sit there for whatever reason which get the response of the horn from me. I've come to the conclusion they just don't give a shit about anyone behind them. A big percentage of people are to stupid to have a drivers license and shouldn't be driving.

My biggest pet peave is driving on a 3 lane highway going one direction is the people that think the center lane is the slow lane. As I drive down 1-5 or any other highway I look at traffic at all the cars not passing and then think to myself if they all moved over to the right because they are not passing how empty the freeway would look. Center lane "Campers" as I've named them cause other drivers to be aggressive to flow from the right/slow lane to the passing lane/left lane. I have a friend who is a retired WA. State Patrol and asked him about the highway issue and he says staying to the right except to pass isn't a law in WA. and there sin't any citation that can be written for that.

Years ago I was driving South through Fife, WA. There is about 5 or 6 lanes, 3 of the lanes on the right were either stopped or slow rolling. The left lane/carpool lane was mostly empty., a WA. State Patrol officer pulled me over and let me know because I was towing I was not able to drive in that lane. I explained to her it was the only lane moving and I was unaware that I wasn't allowed to drive in that lane. She gave me a warning and said I understand and am sorry it's the way it is but it's the law. Driving today is just no fun and it's exhausting dealing with other peoples stupidity. Like I said these are all my opinions and they have been reinforced by years of driving.

Mandatory driving course with 16 to 20 hours in class and 10 to 12 hours with an instructor on the road to learn the ABC of driving .

Nobody learn how to merge , pass, turn safely , negotiate a curve (apex), etc

It would not solve all the problems on the road obviously but bring them down to a more normal level than what we see theses days.

Drivewise Full Driving program:
ICBC Approved
18.5 hours classroom theory
9 x 90 minute on-road teaching lessons (13.5 hours)
Driving Simulator integrated with classroom sessions
Highway and downtown driving experience
Emergency maneuvers taught in-class, on the simulator, and on-road
Extensive vehicle handling skills: parallel, uphill, and downhill parking; backing into parking stalls; 3-point turns; risk perception and running commentary

They also say to expect to practice at least 60 hours behind the wheel with your new driver before they attempt the road test. This is what I took before I got my N. Of course, it is not mandatory, iirc it cost $1000-2000.

It's dark, early evening in Vancouver...I pull up beside a car with couple cute little blondes. Honk the horn lightly and indicate they should roll down the window...there's me..there's the pup..a certain reluctance is evident....I point out to them it's dark out, having lights on would probably be a big bonus....there's an "oh sorry ( ???? ) thank you" Then it's explained, passenger says..."it's my fault, it's my car"......o.k...do the lights only work for the owner, or was the car not trained properly...?????

While daytime running lights may be a safety feature, they sure have led to a lot more people driving without lights at night. Not a major problem in the City, still a pain....but try it out on the Sea to Sky...in the fog or snow.

The problem with new cars today is that when you have your daytime driving lights on...the dash lights are also on... so many people think their lights are on....

Funny I had zero accidents since Driver's Ed in 1974 to 2017.
Then I got rear ended in broad daylight while stopped at a red light by a bimbo driving her mommy's car. Hit me so hard she dented my gas tank! Did she apologise? No. Did she ask if I was okay? No. She gets out with her bitchy attitude and says "I guess you want to see my license". So I take a picture of it and she gets in her car and takes off.
A month later another young bimbo hits me while I'm parked at Walmart.
Two different young women driving right into a stopped car...WTF?
Ha you got off lightly. I got hit in December by a 19 year old American student while stopped at a light and $8000 later and a month in the shop I ended up having to pay the deductible myself.

I have seen a few cop cars driving at night without their tail lights on as well, there should be a warning indicator. These smarter cars ain’t that smart.

Both our family vehicles have headlights that come on automatically when it's dark. It's good, in that we don't have to remember to turn on the headlights. But it's also bad, in that we get out of the habit of thinking about our lights.

You must just love all those BC Plates on I-5, I have noticed they tend to drive aggressively down there as well and will tailgate you even if you are over the limit already. I prefer to drive at a leisurely pace down old hwy 9 when we are down just for a drive, the Seattle area traffic backups are horrendous these days.

I've noticed that too....and did the same to the cops as to the blondes....the Inspector's answer was, oops..first time in this vehicle.... the Sarge...probably a good idea..thanks...the two constables, both in the same car, a head nod and look like I had pissed on their parade.

For about the last 10 years I have been referring to Bellingham as South South Surrey, it get a big laugh when I say that in BC. Seattle now requires strategy when planning your drive. Certain times in certain directions, and God help you if there is an accident and if so there is no hope to get anywhere. Local knowledge is a big help and surface streets seem to be the answer.

Oh, forgot to mention Costco in Bellingham. Early morning fill ups before the store opens in the answer or late at night just before the store closes. During the day at the fuel pumps it's like being in a construction zone on the number one Westbound at 7AM Monday to Friday.

I've felt for a while now that there needs to be a public education push. I have no problem with people driving slowly or fast. The problem, in my opinion, is that the concept of "stay right except to pass" or "slower traffic stay right" seems to be completely lost on people. Everyone here owns the left lane, and they just stay there and drive down it at whatever pace they like. It became very clear to me when we had snow, and left lanes would show all the traffic while right lanes were practically unused. In my opinion it's a very selfish way to drive. I've lived in a lot of cities, and it's a bit of a problem everywhere, but it seems to be significantly worse in the lower mainland. Germany, on the other hand, seems to have trained this into their people. Perhaps that has something to do with the fact that if you get into the left lane you take your life into your hands because of the Porches coming up from behind you doing 250!
