I have surprised myself. I wouldn't have thought I would care. I respect the present Queen, and I have always been happy enough to have the monarchy, since it works reasonably well for us, and costs us less than, say, an elected president would. However, with the prospect of Harry and Meghan living nearby for extended periods, I have realized that I really don't like the idea of having them around pretending that they somehow represent our nation. They've done nothing to earn it.
