Trump should keep his opinons to himself, especially where it concerns minors. Minors that get on Time Magazine and Trump didn't.

I’m with Trump on this one. I find there is something disturbingly weird about her.
She's autistic. Aspergers... she's on the high functioning end of the spectrum. Aspies typically have average to well above average intelligence. Their disability isn't as apparent as other disabilities. I personally view Aspergers as more of a difference than a disability. Einstein , for example, likely had Aspergers.

Not saying I support everything she says, all I want to say is that the behaviour of aspies may seem odd and/or weird to neurotypicals but they don't mean any harm.

They just like to hyper focus on their interests and they're wired to speak their truth. They're honest to a fault.

For highly personal reasons, I'm extremely defensive of aspie behaviour, in of itself. :fencing:

But Greta's message is up for debate. And Trump's message is also up for debate. Lets please just focus on that.

I’m aware of her condition, it’s something beyond that I find weird and disturbing about her.

The earth is roughly 4.6 billion years old, which by anyone’s definition would indicate it’s a pretty resilient planet. I’m sure in the period of time there have been many cataclysmic events that would be hard to imagine yet it endures. All of a sudden some 16 yr old crusader comes out of the woodwork like some latter day Joan of arc to tell us unless we change our ways we’re all going to hell in a hand basket and people seem to be listening to her? Doesn’t smell right to me.

When one stands back and looks at the big picture, there’s plenty of evidence to suggest we’re in the midst of a 6th mass extinction event
I personally don’t think going vegan or pointing the finger at older generations shouting “how dare you!” will solve anything. And, like any other species, our environment can only handle so many of us.
Mass extinctions happen. The planet will eventually recover.

Human overpopulation is the main problem. But how can we control that when we can't even control our pet population? The pro-choice movement focuses on abortion, not a peep about how difficult it is for a middle class woman to get sterilized, by her own choice. Majority of birth control methods pushed on the masses are hormonal, which have an adverse affect on our environment.

I think humans are in for an ugly wake up call in the future. Most are too busy fighting over pronouns, safe spaces, cultural appropriation (mis-appropriation?) and politically incorrect body shaming sexist fitness equipment commercials to pay attention to reality.

All that matters here is Trump is clearly mentally challenged and is picking a fight with a young person. This isn't about the climate change issue at all. It is about Trump not being picked by Time Magazine and not being the Center of attention. His egotistical personality cannot accept that someone who he considers a threat to his view of the world is being recognized. He believes that he deserves the title and is lashing out at a young girl. That is just pathetic

Time wanted their pick to be controversial, but safe, so they went with the kid who has fixated on one issue.

The real pick should have been the Hong Kong protesters. Standing up to China's domineering presence, and getting beaten and killed in the process is a lot braver, and is accomplishing more than going to conferences and rallies where you're worshipped by fans and give speeches where you insult people.

Trump is undoubtedly mentally challenged. But if Greta wants to put herself on the world stage she should expect to be challenged. What surprises me is the number of people (climate sheep?) who play the “attack a 16 year old card.”

They're both puppets

Trump might be in bed with the Russians or Big Business, and that's too be expected.

But Greta, that's a whole new low from the other side....worse than just being a corrupt politician.

She's a human shield for the hippies to hide behind. So when they are bombarded with too much logic and facts, they'll bring out the child, tell her what they want her to say, and shame anyone else who disagrees, thinking the opposition is bullying a child.

Because the fact is, she hasn't really said anything ground-breaking on the topic of global warming. Just a bunch of Pathos, dashed with a little ethos, but not a lot of logos; y'know. .... When people "attack her" it's because she really doesn't know what she's talking about. And those she speaks toward are the least global offenders of pollution anyways. She'll never go to China or India and preach there. But she'll come to Canada, where we're already suffering with a carbon tax. And probably Trudeau will use her as a figurehead to introduce a new 'environmental bill' to beat over our heads.

I think Thunberg is an emotionally-damaged, fixated, boring drone, but that video is a waste of space unless they show and match the number plate to the vehicle she's been loaned, or better yet, get images of her entering or leaving the vehicle. How hard would that have been?

I also don't believe she drives. She seems to be ferried around by minders that watch her every move.

That was a really eye opening video.

I still think she deserves this award since she has been inspiring millions of children and adults all over the world to act on climate change.

I agree with this comment.

Totally agree!

Can't believe anyone in their right mind still supports that asshole. Did you read he has been fined 2 million $$$ for stealing from his own charity??? I wonder how he will spin that fun fact lol.
