The logic is a complete fallacy anyways. Plenty of heterosexual married couples don't have kids by choice. Marriage is about 2 people committing to each other for the rest of their lives. Kids are often a part of that, but not always. Besides, at the rate we are currently procreating it will be to the detriment of our species as we overpopulate the planet and use it's resources at unsustainable levels. But oops I forgot, God won't let us destroy the planet

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
So he's homophobic.
Turdeau is truth-phobic, small business-phobic, common sence-phobic, ethics-phobic, middle aged caucasian male-phobic, balanced budget-phobic, energy sector-phobic, female-phobic (aka fake feminist who fires strong women who threaten his authority), Canadian Military/Veteran-phobic.

I am not gay, I don't wanna be gay, I hate the sight of watching gay porn. BUT I have no issue with two men or two women co-habiting together and doing whatever they consensually doing.

But what you see in that video is HOMOPHOBIA!

Pathetic, that is what it is, Pathetic.

When you guys find videos of Liberals comparing gay people to dogs with 5 legs, start a fucking thread.

The difference between other people and this asshole is that Scheer, in 2019, is still genuinely and solidly homophobic.

He's also racist and doesn't believe women should have control of their own reproductive systems.

He wants to be PM, but he hates half the fucking country.

And Turdeau groped/assaulted a woman and simply excused himself by saying she must have experienced it differently.

I am amazed at the words, how did he come up with a dog's tail being a fifth leg?? And what is the logic of comparing that to a family (whether the adults are same sex or naught)?

Forrest Gump: "Life is like a box of chocolates."

Andrew Scheer: "Gay marriage is like a 5-legged dog."

Morality arguments aside, it astounds me that he's reading this from a script. Consider this: he put thought into crafting it, proofread it, and somehow thought "nailed it!" enough to go before the country with it. This would've been like a C- presentation in a high school persuasive writing class.

And yeah, yeah Trudeau's Satan. Whatever. Doesn't change the fact that this is Scheer stupidity.

It is perfectly possible for neither of them to be suited to the job. I think I'm with MB Mod on voting for the SMOD next election.

I have had gay friends since the 70s and I have seen first hand what it is like for them. There are a lot more homophobic jerks than you realise.
Even a board as seemingly open minded as this has its share of haters.
Scheer knows that anti gay rhetoric will appeal to a lot of voters.

It is perfectly possible for neither of them to be suited to the job.
I am disappointed in Trudeau. He is not perfect, but Scheer is utterly despicable. I do not want some self righteous religious zealot imposing Catholic dogma because "God" says so. Also noteworthy: several Cons have said Scheer supports the law regarding same sex marriage, but Scheer himself has not made any statement. Supporting the law is not the same as supporting the idea. The Cons are explicitly not saying that they support gay marriage. And the Cons could change that law if they have a majority.
Edit: at time of writing Scheer has not made a statement himself. This may change.
Just like they pussyfoot around the abortion issue while courting anti abortion groups.
I have other reasons for hating the Cons, mostly that lying piece of shit Harper destroying my father's lifelong work at the National Research Council. And Harper was a lot worse for military than people realise, giving patronage contracts out to shitty suppliers.

There is a ton of shit that goes on behind the scenes that never gets reported in the media, unfortunately. There were lots of disgusting things happening at the NRC and AECL that are ignored. It pisses me off that our Toronto based media spend all day worshipping Drake but ignore world class research done at U of T or McGill.
Serious issues that take effort to research and explain are ignored while the media focus on Trudeau's socks or Scheer's plaid shirt.
This election is fucked up and our piss poor lazy media is largely to blame.
Ah fuck we're doomed...debate has been replaced with simplistic hate filled rants.

But has Scheer evolved ??? Let's see if he shows up at the upcoming gay prride parade. How muh you bet that he will be " too busy to attend ". Has he ever shown up for even one gay pride event ???

JD
Why is it such a big fucking deal if he shows up at a parade.
Good heavens maybe he does have other more pressing matters.
I have gay friends and clients. I have gay relatives and a niece who is transgendered.
I love and respect them all but I've never been to the Pride parade.
Does that mean if i don't go to the Santa Claus parade, I'm a Grinch?

That's one of the problems with modern politics. It's all about the photo-op or paying lip service to a cause without real conviction.
Turdeau's entire previous campaign was about how he will be different and his inclusive, "Sunny Ways" plan for our government/country.
4 years later what I'm seeing is the firing of 2 strong women Ministers who dared challenge his lies and 2 ethics violations.

I love how threads like these expose the true colours of some of our fellow posters. And to some degree help explain their day-to-day posting history. Positively illuminating.

Hey, I have no problem telling people that I am a Conservative.
Mostly a fiscal Conservative but a Conservative.
Does that mean I don't believe in human rights, social welfare or saving the environment. I don't think those are mutually exclusive.
I think as a humane society we have a responsibility to look after those who cannot look after themselves whether it be a single mom left with 3 kids by some deadbeat guy or the mentally or physically disabled/ill.
We have a responsibility to reduce our impact on the world and nature which existed long before we did. We don't have the right to use the planet for our own selfish purposes with no regard to the impact on future generations.
We have responsibility to ensure that all of us are treated fairly and equally regardless of colour, religion or sexual orientation.

But i also believe that don't need government to take half of what I earn to pay some able bodied asshole to sit at home or "create' employment by hiring more overpaid civil servants.
I believe if you work hard you should reap the rewards and it is my choice if I choose to share my wealth (which by the way I do to the tune of over $20k a year to various charities).
Taxation to fund roads, schools, hospitals, fire, police, etc is absolutely necessary in a prosperous country. My grandfather used to tell me that if you pay a lot of tax then that means you make a lot of money. But currently we also have a lot of taxation which is solely used for redistribution of wealth which has and will never work. As Margaret Thatcher once said, "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."
And just so all of you know, I did not come from wealth.
I never met my Dad and was raised by a single Mom who relied on help from family until she remarried when I was 8. My (step) Dad was a railway worker. We lived a very modest lower class life with no frills. We wore hand me downs, drank powdered milk and brushed our teeth with baking soda if money ran out before payday. My school lunch some days was 2 pieces of bread with a little margarine and some crab apples from our own tree becasue there was no money for meat, cheese or even peanut butter. Yes I am that old that we could still take peanut butter to school. LOL!
I was fortunate that I was a talented athlete and a good student. i earned a partially paid football scholarship to university and also worked to put myself through school and then graduate school.
Yes I did get some help from the government but I also worked hard and did a lot by myself.
I worked hard my entire career while raising my daughter as a single Dad. Her mother was a career driven alcoholic who left us. I didn't whine to the government. I made it work, Up early, to bed late, working weekends, etc. to get where I am today.
So when the politicians out there call me a tax cheat when I happen to take advantage of a few tax breaks to save for my retirement because I don't have a indexed, taxpayer funded pension like they do and 60% of the population, I get pissed off. When my PM is prancing around India in costumes even Indians don't wear while our energy sector is reeling, I get pissed off. When our farmers are getting boned up the ass by China and our government does nothing, I get pissed off. When coming from a family with a military connection (Great Grandfather, Grandfather, 2 uncles, 1 aunt, 3 cousins and 1 nephew all served or serving) and our government talks about repatriating terrorists who were trying to kill them, I get pissed off. When our PM and government are guilty of trying to improperly influence the rule of law, which is the foundation of our democracy, I get pissed off.
So for me, going to a parade or not is really irrelevant.
