Look left. Way left.
I'll stick with what my grandmother used to say..... I don't if a shit what the guy is wearing......a pig in a suit is still a pig!
There are a lot more things to think about to make you a better person!

Finally some common sense. That applies equally to both genders.
There are women who look hot as hell in jeans and a t shirt and no makeup.

You can if its frozen solid ,and stuck to the ground.
The hidden meaning to that ...is when your dead, stuck in your casket, stiff as a board, and unable to protest.....even a T-shirt wearing Neandrathal , can clean up to look presentable.

Huge Tom Ford fan, love his stuff but as said above. You don’t need to spend that kind of money to look good. I have some Tom Ford jackets sweaters etc and I have some custom made suits from Asia that are 1/3 the price and 99% of people can’t tell the difference. Biggest thing is the details. Get your clothes tailored to fit you. Press your shirts and get any lint or hair off.

I will say pony up and buy some quality shoes and a good blazer or two.

The rest is all about matching colours and accessories.

Every time I’m in Mayfair London I’m blown away at the men and how put together they look. Yes it’s work and it’s worth it. Vancouver does have a pretty good fashion scene for brands but most people dress like shit here. Even the people at Holt don’t even dress that well.

Like any Cowboy would be caught dead holding that cheap ass circle K saddle....nice chaps though.
Exactly, knowing how to dress is one thing, but it all goes to hell if you can't accessorize properly......horse will probably dump him in the first creek he gets to.

I have seen one of A H jackets and it was not made by Boss.
This is a pervasive meme that is based on ignorance.

Really...??? I've got a number of jackets, only one of them is from Boss, so chances are if you saw one of my jackets, it wouldn't be from Boss which does not mean I don't have a Boss jacket...mind you, if you saw that Boss jacket, it wouldn't mean all my jackets were Boss. As an aside, by 1934 Boss was strictly turning out uniforms......which surprisingly enough are in the meme.

Despite my lifestyle, I have had occasion to be turned into a "silk purse". I never liked the attitude you get from the Hugo Boss sales people when you walk in wearing Wranglers, whilst they are wearing a company provided suit that is worth more than the vehicle they drive.

I never knew this connection between the Nazis and Boss. I first thought this image was photo-shopped. It is in fact, in the Getty photo archives.

There are many modern day companies that have a connection back to Nazis. In my world many of the drug/chemistry companies and equipment manufactures can trace a relationship or origins back to that period. Most have repented, Hugo Boss included..."profound regret to those who suffered harm or hardship at the factory run by Hugo Ferdinand Boss under National Socialist rule".

Note the picture of Hitler is captioned "Hitler and SS Guards" but those are army troops.

Boss did not design any uniforms. They made uniforms for the myriad Nazi organisations and followed standard patterns issued by the RZM, the official government standards office.
I am not sure if they made anything for the army on a big scale, they just were not a big enough company. They had gone bust only a few years earlier.
Most party officials or senior (commisioned) officers in the SS had an option of getting uniforms tailored from approved clothiers. But this would only be for what we called First Class or Mess Dress. Regular wear items would come from issue stocks. Only very senior officers would routinely wear tailored items.

Canada has similar policy. Forces, CBSA, CSC, Parks Canada all get stuff from Logistik, but it can be excellent or crap. They contract it all out.
You can get tailor made stuff but only from listed outfitters and it has to conform to regulation.

I just don't get the hate for Hugo Boss. There is no similar hate for Volkswagen, which was Hitler's pet project. Or Siemens and ICI, who used thousands of slave workers but are not as visible a brand. Maybe it is a class thing with Hugo Boss seen as elitist and therefore despicable?

Hijack over, sorry.

I went to Harry Rosen and had a really nice HB suit made for a friend's wedding, since I am an odd shape.
They were very pleasant to deal with.
I wore the suit to the wedding, felt great, got complimemts and then the outer pant seam disintegrated during the reception.

Correct, the picture is from March 1935, of Hitler inspecting a Honour Guard.

Correct again. Logistik, a Canadian company, developed/designed the Canadian Forces CADPAT uniform which is felt to be one of the best camouflage. Mess and DEU's are more or less "off the rack" issue and it is up to the member to get the uniform tailored. Usually someone on base has a nice sideline business doing alterations/tailoring.

The founder and president of Logistik is large supporter of the CF Reserves.

Lol, I would rather wear Hugo Boss than be caught in a Volkswagen. Beemers are ok

Hijack done.

Without getting too personal, was it the same side you dress on?

Yes it was. The threads just pulled out from the pocket three or four inches towards the knee.
Everything seemed fine when I put them on. I've only worn that suit twice since that, always afraid it is going to fall apart.
