When a sex worker, and even agencies who take money for sex claims to not be a "pro", what does that mean? I see this claim, and guys who repeat it, and I never understand what's suposed to be taken from it.

You either are, or aren't. Is it some kind of mental gymnastics to pretend there isn't a financial transaction at play? Is it code for being irresponsible, to excuse not showing up?

I always take it as they are trying to imply that they are just a sweet innocent girl in a little financial pinch who only does this when things get tight. Better get in now. Might not be here tomorrow.

It’s marketing BS like calling a used car “low mileage”.

For all you know she could have been on Leo for years.

It means they're saving themselves for the Olympics. Maybe getting a government grant here and there before they turn pro.

Sex work is the only area where saying you're an amateur is considered desireable.

If you watch poker you see some people referred to as pro's and others as amateurs or recreational players even though all are playing for the same cash.

That is a description of a professional.

Ha! “‘non pro” refers to a different kind of unicorn; young doe-eyed fresh always wet meat, former catholic school girls not yet all jaded-out like those has-been dried out hoes that see courtezoning as strictly a business transaction that they masterfully feign interest through each appointment.

Cuddle-up is The epitome of “amateur” wannabe paid hoes that want to be trained by their clients. Once they discover Leolist and Perb, then they aren’t amateurs anymore.

Here’s a $500/hr 19-year old amateur. Probably still a virgin.

Oops I misread the question. "Pro" was in quotes so I assumed that word was the focus. Yeah non pro is just marketing BS. Like the well known SP who on Leolist who's ad always mentions first day in the industry. Even though she's been running that same ad for 6 months or more and that's using at least her 2nd industry name.

OP is right. Its all bs. It doesn't matter if the lady is seeing one guy a week or 4 guys a day everyday, high or low volume is no excuse for not giving common courtesy. If you can't make it, you let the other person know asap. You would do the same if meeting a friend, a family member, or a Stranger you are meeting in public to buy or sell something on craiglist. Its good to remember that some ladies are selling an image, and sometimes they are not as professional as their price point reflects.
