I personally feel the metoo moment has gotten a bit hysterical. I've been through a lot of shit in the past that would more than qualify me to join the movement, so I'm not coming from a place of ignorance.

"baby its cold outside" is just a song. If people are so sensitive they're getting triggered by a classic Christmas song, it's probably a good idea they get professional help. Instead of putting all their energy towards complaining about and banning everything.

Self defence training is a good idea too.

I don't think they think it'll solve rape. It just bugs them all the same. I figure that's allowed. (Personally I'm ambivalent. There are two ways to interpret the song and only one is the thing that offends some. Though to be fair I feel it's easier to interpret it badly than Blurred Lines and people seemed pretty worked up about that one.)

Anyway, fallacy of relative privation. Or to put it another way, when it comes to grievances, people can multitask.

Edit to add: If you don't like petty grievances, though, it'd be a really good idea to never read stories that are based on what's trending on Twitter.

Every situation ,and battle is different, and learning your opponents weak points is crucial....and every person should have that knowledge. ...particularly if your an 95 pound weakling like myself.....

Haha it becomes a challenge when you live in the boonies - but with that being said I got my 2019 To-Do list to indulge in next visit to Victoria & Van, sure taking the plunge with whatever is new wouldn't hurt (at least I hope it won't that much, haha)

Not going to pretend that I am some champion of women's rights, I think men, women, and people as a whole have our flaws. The metoo situation happened because far too many times certain men got away with predatory acts towards women. It's disturbing how there were people trying to get sentimental about Bill Cosby and trying to argue "innocent until proven guilty", when the reality is at that point in time 40+ women had come forward to say that they had been victimized by this man. This is not to say that some of them couldn't have possibly lied, but how is it possible that a man who has had 40+ women complain against him be innocent on all counts?
