Nobody has ever given a shit if you say "Merry Christmas". It's a bullshit, demagogic manufactured controversy that was created to further the narrative that society has gone crazy with cultural inclusiveness and galvanize a sect of Bill O'Reilly disciples into action in a flimsy culture war . I've yet to work with a Muslim who was genuinely upset over hearing the radio play Christmas music, aside from on the basis that the music sucks.

On that note I wish you all a merry Christmas, a Happy Chanukah, a Krazy Kwanzaa, a Tip Top Tet, and a solemn, eventful Ramadan.

Amen to this. Total manufacturered cultural war. Christmas is more vibrant than ever in my neighbourhood. More lights and Santa and Christmas cheer than ever and it grows every year. I know many Sikh, Muslim and non religious people who love the season and partake in its traditions. I’ve never had anyone in my life be offended by me wishing them a Merry Christmas. I just don’t get this whole “war on Christmas” trash.

Trump sure likes to spout this crap, maybe that’s why I don’t get it.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas

“More lights and Santa and Christmas cheer than ever and it grows every year.” ...that’s not the Christmas pushback. it’s the origin and meaning of Christmas that Obama and Trudeau would love to get rid of. Just like chocolate, hiding eggs and the easter Bunny is ok for those two, Easter itself, now that’s a different story for them.

I guess the question is whether society believes in the separation of church and state?

What did you get for Christmas ? ...
A bunch of urgent work came in from an overseas client. Guess that was my Christmas present. So much for goofing off all day.

Nonsense. The only thing the government has pushed for is government and government-funded organisations to be inclusive and unbiased. The mandate was never about what people say to other people. That's just Trump-esque propaganda (and he couldn't tell a story straight to save his life). It's about making sure the messages organisations convey are fair and inclusive.

I don't understand what you mean. It's whose choice too? Point is individuals in their capacity as representatives of a company or organisation don't get to express personal bias in their professional capacity. You're still free to express individual biases as individuals. Where's an example that you can't?
