Hot spring tour through the Kootenays n hopefully Vancouver after a pit stop in Kamloops... so far that’s my ‘plan’Where ya off to?
I’ve had enough RnR this year. I took almost three months offEveryone needs some RnR. The world will still be there next week. I disappear from time to time to recharge my batteries.
Oh yeah...You should be charged up and ready to roll then.
With last years fires you should be able to locate some cheap logs to build a log or timber house.....it was moving so fast the flames just killed the trees, but didn't burn the interior.I wish I had time to stop by my lot but I would disappear for days if I did go
Thank you for the advice. Hopefully they’re still selling in five years when I plan to build my house. I have lots to do before then...With last years fires you should be able to locate some cheap logs to build a log or timber house.....it was moving so fast the flames just killed the trees, but didn't burn the interior.
Once you peel the charcoal off, they are case hardened, but fine to build with, as long as you purchase Douglas Fir.
If you make it to Vancouver, say hello and I'll buy you a coffee and you can meet the pup.....Hot spring tour through the Kootenays n hopefully Vancouver after a pit stop in Kamloops... so far that’s my ‘plan’
I will make it eventually, hopefully in the next week. I need to make sure I have my finances and safety in place. It’s always so dead this time of year.If you make it to Vancouver, say hello and I'll buy you a coffee and you can meet the pup.....
I would only worry if I was alone and no on could find my remains. A natural predator taking my life would be an honour as I’m a spiritual native... humans on the other hand can be terrifying in packs like wolves...I was up at Adams like and no one else was in the camground, just sleeping in my old pup tent, had to go for a leak in the middle of the night. It was a moonless night and pitch black, I never bothered with my flashlight but a mirage like figure seemed to float about in front of me. It danced silently back and forth and flitted away and then back, I was on my hands and knees halfway out of the tent. Suddenly I felt a wet nose on the tip of my nose, it stayed there for a second then dissapeared infront of me. It was a Fox kinda weird but kinda cool too, i managed to take a leak and finish my sleep for the night.
Lots of different critters hang around campsites, even seen bears dig them up with peoples tents and all, turned out the last guys burried their duckheads and parts right in the ground and the other guys pitched their tent on it. Its the bears fault for peoples stupidity, bears follow their nose to food keep it away from your tent and you'll be fine!
I love hard work like that and even have good work gloves to do it. I think chopping wood is one of my favourite “chore” activitiesOne of my least favorite jobs completed today. Tearing down a barb wire fence then rolling the wire up by hand!
I can chop and stack a cord in a couple hours. LOVE IT! Makes me hungry lolThat's on my to do list. Except I gave up chopping a long time ago. Gas powered splitter is the only way to go.
