How long can we “just be”random?!

Which is exactly why I sleep with a pea shooter next to me in my sleeping bag....it kinda acts like a tooth pick ,hidden in the soft taco.
Had a bear within arms reach this spring. It rubbed up against my tent and my cat had to wake me up to scare it away. I invested in a bear tazer the next day :laugh:
WOW, you're brave, taking your cat camping with you. I would be afraid it would run off and not come back.
She always come back, the very next day jk she won’t go out an open door if I tell her not to
I woke up looking at a imprint of a nose, outlined in the fabric of my tent looking at me.....
It was one of the times I didn't bring my dogs for protection.
I didn't shoot the bear, as he was two feet from my face, but a 45-70 sure leaves a big hole in the roof of a tent....and leaves a guy deaf and blind for a few minutes ,in the darkness of the dawn.
Bears are funny creatures, you never know how bad of a day they might be having.
people at the campground kept bothering it. I didn’t have a gun, I don’t like guns or violence, I just made a bunch of noise and scared it off. My snacks suddenly became too much work for him to get to lol
I don't camp at provincial sites as I'm working, usually in the fall round up, just random places with clean water.
In the fires when we are not housed we may set up camp in safe proximity to a fire, but the wildlife has usually evacuated before we've arrived.....but that doesn't happen very often.
I don’t normally either. I didn’t have a vehicle at the time so it was safer. Also, I was just using the space to reorganize my gear and headspace (which was hard with so many distracting people around lol)
