I am new to this, an old dog learning a new trick, or at least looking to buy one.

I have a question, I have been around this city for a long time and know a lot of people. I am concerned about booking an appointment through an agency as they are known addresses and when you're seen at one of those addresses everyone knows what you're doing.

I value my privacy a great deal. Has anyone else have this fear? Am I blowing it out of proportion? Thoughts?

My thanks.

All depends on your comfort level . Everyone is nervous the first time they go to an agency, super paranoid and self conscious, thinking everyone is watching.
The trick is to walk in like you own the place. And unless you're in your early 20's with friends that party downtown a lot, the odds of bumping into someone you know is pretty slight.
However it might not be the right hobby for you if you can't get past it.
Good luck to you of you decide to stick it out,Victoria is small but ahe has a really good variety of talented sp's and mp's so I'm sure you'll enjoy what she has to offer.

I’ve been to 3 of the agencies, Seduction, Sweet VIPs and the old BOA, now Gentlemen’s Choice. The first two have a locked front door, but they buzz you right in when you arrive on time for your appointment. Wear sunglasses and walk right in . Sweet VIP has a back door to get out...

Sure, I stopped going after a previous job, where I realised how easy it is to be made going to and from the agencies. There are photos sitting in a file somewhere waiting for the political winds to change direction. I pm'ed you more details. If you have any concerns, go indy, though that has its own drawbacks.

I was driving by one agency and just then saw a guy step up to the buzzer. Before he opened the door, I rolled down the window and yelled “DONT FORGET TO REVIEW HER ON PERB!!!”

(that may or may not have happened exactly as written....)

That guy probably doesn't know what Perb is.

My best friend lost his job because he was spotted entering a downtown agency on his break, which was pretty upsetting. He also lost his girlfriend, he seemed less upset about that. I don't go to agencies. I agree freakydave. I don't like the discretionary odds.

So I guess the fact that these agencies have anonymous store fronts doesn't mean anything. The guy who spotted your friend going into the agency most likely frequents it himself, otherwise how would he know what it is? Seems unfair he ratted him out. Maybe he's a religious hypocrite pissed off that he goes there. SU and SVIP are tucked in next to businesses, so if one just darts in, the only person who will notice is someone who also goes to that agency. FreeG's comment on here is one example. I'm certain it wasn't a woman who spotted your friend, because why would she know what that store front is? - unless she works there.

I've seen escorts in different parts of the world, and the four incall agencies in Victoria are among the best I've visited. Most agencies don't even have incalls, where you can just go at half hour's notice and bang a hottie in a comfortable, safe environment. Most only do outcalls to high end homes and hotels. Toronto has incall agencies like Victoria, but the latter has four in a much smaller area. You can walk between three of them - unheard of except in Vic.

Edmonton has many massage studios, which are basically licensed agencies/brothels. I've been there a few times and you have every type of girl and race under the sun. But, unlike the agencies in Victoria, they have actual store fronts and everyone knows what is on offer there. I would walk in like I owned the place, as someone suggested, but I feel more comfortable entering the agencies here. No one should complain about Vic agencies. They are unique and offer good, safe and discreet service.

Victoria isn't a big city. Word gets around. The storefront may be anonymous, but it is amazing how much information can be spread through word of mouth [read: gossip]. I work in government and SVIPS location is relatively common knowledge.

People in law enforcement would know about it, as would people in the municipal licensing office, as would some legal offices. Street outreach, and social work departments and agencies would know, the neighbouring businesses probably have an inkling, plus everyone who has visited. Now add in all the people they talk to, and the people they talk to, and you've got a sizeable percentage of the population. Doesn't seem so far fetched that a person was seen by someone who knew the nature of the business he was entering.

All true, but I still find it hard to believe someone lost their JOB because they were sighted going through what’s effectively an unmarked door. Either buddy wasn’t telling the whole truth on why he was fired or there’s something else to the story.

I do agree on the size of the city being a concern. While my reasons not to see an agency are primarily financial, the odds of seeing someone I know in that downtown area are also relatively high and have given me pause lately. On one hand, the locations near nice stores provides alibis if someone mentions seeing you walking nearby, but there’s always that chance a friend says “Hey!” Just as you’re ringing the doorbell!

I can see it. If you got spotted by your boss or the wrong co-worker, and they knew the nature of what's operating behind the unmarked door? You're actions are technically illegal. Many professional firms and offices, along with government wouldn't tolerate it if it came to the attention of the right people.

I mean if the guy worked a road or roofing crew, or on a building site, or was a grunt in the military, he'd be fine (maybe even get an 'attaboy'). But if he was an associate lawyer? Government worker? Peace officer? Yeah, there'd be grounds for dismissal.

The Right People- busy bodies who have nothing else to do, except try to bring other people down. They should mind their own business. Evil do-gooders more properly described as anal-retentive shitheads who deserve to fucken drown in hell....
