There are a few ways for us to check if you are using a text app. There websites that post every prefix for every area code. Prefixes are usually assigned to a carrier. My number for instance is 604 441 6801. The prefix 441 is assigned to Rogers. There are many prefixes now that are assigned to Iristel which leases out its numbers to apps like "textme" Not always 100% but generally its correct.

I have an app that weeds out the Iristel numbers as they come in. Most I block.

I'm a bit confused... Isn't all texting done via an app...? I mean in order to send and receive texts on my phone, I have to use the texting app. Well... on any smart phone anyway...

Yes but apps like Textme create a new number that isn't yours. They basically mask your identity. When you use your phone text app it comes up as your cellular number. With textme you can change your number every 5 minutes and start fresh again. Problem is 50% of bookings from text apps are no show's (for me anyways) or worse guys that want to pull my hair, slap me around then stick it in raw. The anonymity the app makes them think they can act like potus

I use a text app and I’m not a sicko. I think a lot of us can’t use our real phone numbers for a good reason. For the ads that specify they don’t answer any app text I just skip. At the time a lot of sp’s Use text apps. So I really don’t see the Big deal.

Lets say you book 2 sp's a week and we will say that's 8 a month. Now if you took the time to travel to see those 8 sp's in a month and half of them when you got there said "HAHA, I was just fucking with you" would you not get tired of it after a few months and rethink booking girls using text apps? And to top it off you then realize 3 of the 4 are the same girl that just changed her number.

Now if when you text me from a text app you say "Hey its dadio888 from perb" different story.

You are missing out on many fine SPs.

Also similar to clients who use text apps, you take larger risk if you contact SPs who use text apps. It's not necessarily a red flag, but probability wise you'll find more scams and ripoffs among those on text apps.

When it comes to a pooners need for discretion, why not just erase text/call history and block all the sps numbers until you are ready to book with them again?
That's not addressing privacy concerns. A real phone number might get outed, traced to the real name via the number, or link to social media accounts.

Using a separate burner phone is more reliable if possible.

Never mind the most common risk of fake bookings and harassment, almost every single robbery, rape, and assault I’m aware of happening to other ladies over the past few years was done by guys who booked with apps. If you were aware of numerous incidents like these and let’s say your sister or close female friend was an sp, would you be comfortable with her taking that risk?
Well actually there have been like 70+ robberies in 2017 with the same guys using chatr phones, which shows up as rogers. Ugh.

There may be a few genuinely good guys using apps, but the number of douchebags far outnumbers the gents.
Some phone carriers display a log of phone numbers that texts were sent to/received from on the invoice. So that’s a big drawback to using your own number.

With a TextMe number, it’s also much more easier to walk on the SP without worry of threats and repercussion. I’ve had to walk on on occasion because the advertised pics didn’t match the product. One SP was pissed and sent me numerous threat texts after for wasting her time. What about my time that’s wasted? Expect me to walk if the product is falsely advertised. I don’t buy that crap.
