Hi Perb. Can anyone recommend a good auto shop/garage for Vancouver? And also, where you'd go to buy tires - in town or online.
Thank you

I have pulled up to Kal tire in different locations. They know who I am before I'm in the door. They get the info off the plate number. One benefit of front plates lol.Tires....Kal Tire.
Keep your receipt in your truck, if you have a problem, you can pull into any Kal Tire in the Nation, and have them fixed, checked ,or rotated for free.
Right......my front plates are covered in road grime and mud for all winter, so that explains that.I have pulled up to Kal tire in different locations. They know who I am before I'm in the door. They get the info off the plate number. One benefit of front plates lol.
This year they tell me that they have changed their policy. Now they balance the set that you have on rims, free, before they put them on. They told me that the majority of problems people have is that the tires came out of balance for one reason or another.Kal Tire! Kal Tire! Kal Tire!
Even if you have bought absolutely nothing from them they will fix leaky tire for free!
If you have bought either your winters or your summers from them and both sets are on rims, they will switch in either direction for free. That includes balancing if necessary.
I am in process of buying anew car. When I get it I will head directly to Kal Tire to buy 4 winters, steel rims and air pressure sensors. Big outlay but the last set I bought lasted me 10 years

B&B Tireland in Langley City. Been dealing with them for 20 years since relocating to the Valley. Full service shop as well.Kal tire wanted 1300/ea for a 305/35/20 Nitto 555R. Internet and then get them mounted at a tire shop
^ exactly this. +1Also, I would NEVER buy tires off the 'Net. Tires are the #1 component of your vehicle (along with brakes) that keep you on the road safely. I just feel that there isn't proper or timely recourse should there be issues. Maybe I'm wrong? But for vehicle services and maintenance I want to deal with he that sold me the product- not some faceless entity on the other end of a phone line or keyboard.
