I recently updated my iPhone with iOS 11. I stumbled upon an excellent new text feature. If you swipe left on an existing text conversation, you will see a new purple button that says “hide alerts”. So now if you’re texting an SP or anyone for that matter, their messages back to you won’t flash on your home lock screen for others to see.

There’s also a glitch with the current version. If you start screen recording before you open Snapchat it doesn’t give the other person an alert that you are screen recording, I expect this to be changed very soon though
You’re swiping the message. Go back one to the listing of texts received. Swipe one of them left. You will see the option there.
