A well reviewed SP that frequents YWG often told me her story about when the cops visited her at an airport hotel last February. She came to Winnipeg on her own and met 2 other SPs. The three hung around together in the same hotel for a couple of weeks. One day her and one of the other SPs were chatting in her room. The SP that was with her got a text from her duuo partner who was alone upstairs in her room saying the cops were just here and likely coming down to your room next. It was my friend's opinion that the cops got her room number from hotel management. The cops never booked an appointment. How rude! Her and the other SP were scared to death. Then came a knock at the door. Two cops. The cops interrogated them briefly to determine if they were there on their own accord or being trafficked. That satisfied they took down their courtesan names and numbers. Then their real names, addresses and numbers. Told them to be safe, have a pleasant day and left. Hotel management did not ask her to leave. She did leave the next day on her own.

logical reasoning suggests that if you know the SP (reviewed) the LE or hotel doesn't care if you exchange a donation for sex. But I'm not a lawyer.

Good enough reason for me to never book with a random, unreviewed SP ever again. It's been few and far between anyways in recent years for me, so no big loss there.

As soon as you show cash they have established your intention. Simple as that.
Wrong ! Believe it or not, as long as you communicate from an ad and show up, you are guilty. My buddy got caught without even discussing or showing cash. He was attached so he couldn't fight it. Whether or not he had a leg to stand on in court. Trust me, if he got caught, anybody can get caught. He played the poon scene very carefully.

Nobody has said if you actually get arrested or do they give you a warning and John school as a deterrent ?

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
Let's put all the highfalutin lawyer talk aside for just a second.
Want to avoid John School? Control your little head and only see well known, reviewed, recommended ladies.
Every time you walk into a room to see someone you really don't know is a chance you will end up in cuffs, robbed, beaten, ripped off, etc...

Wow! pretty clear. Need to make a porn video or watch porn. Otherwise you are in risk.

Quote from the Bill
The following activities have been found to constitute a sexual service or an act of prostitution, if provided in return for some form of consideration: lap-dancing, which involves sitting in the client’s lap and simulating sexual intercourse; masturbation of a client in the context of a massage parlour, whether or not the client climaxes; and, activities, provided that the acts can be considered to be sexually stimulating/gratifying. However, jurisprudence is clear that neither acts related to the production of pornography, nor stripping meet the test. In most cases, physical contact, or sexual interaction, between the person providing the service and the person receiving it is required; however, acts for which consideration is provided that take place in a private room in a club and that are sexual in nature, but do not involve physical contact between the “client” and “performer”, such as self-masturbation, have been found to constitute prostitution.
Even if you know the person, still there is risk, may be less. What if LE walks in at the time you are there? Can you say you are visiting your friend?

LE can't just walk into someone's residence or even hotel room for that matter.
They have to be invited in. That's why if the cops ever come to your door, they will always very innocently ask if they can come in. Most people being innocent and ignorant of the law will of course let them in. Now that you have "invited" them in they are free to roam around, look around, ask questions of those on the premises, etc.
If they don't have a warrant you do not have to let them in.
They have to stay 'beyond the threshold."
Even with hotel rooms. If you have paid for the room and are not in arrears, you are entitled to your privacy just as you are in your home.
If the cops ever just walked into a hotel room and some chick had your dick in her mouth how do they prove you 2 are not just lover or even a simple hook up unless one of you talks too much? And any judge would throw the case out for unlawful entry.
The only exception to the above is if the officers believe that someone's life is in imminent danger. That's why they can run into a burning house without knocking first.

But like I said. Stick to well reviewed, well known providers and you'll be fine.

Well explained Jethro. I would also add that a SP doesn't have to let a cop come in if they don't have a warrant. That being said, I have heard about hotel kicking out SPs once they find out what is going on. I also know a visiting SP who was visited by officers and was just given their business card. She was treated more as a victim like Bill C-36 implies and was advised to contact the cop if she needed any support or if she wanted to get out of the business. No punishment was implied and she wasn't forced to quit working. The hotel did not kick her out either although they knew where she was because the cops found her room themselves without booking an appointment.
Bottom line: they don't care as long as no exploitation or forced arrangement unless SPs create a nuisance for other guests including high traffic, loud sounds, guy (pimp) sitting in hallway on a chair (yes, that has really happened) etc.....

I heard a story from a SP a while ago that has a different take on the police. She had mentioned when her and her friend were in town they were visited by a couple of cops. The police indicated that in exchange for freebies they would not give them or their customers a hassle. Apparently the girls went for the arrangement.

Lol. That's a funny story. Maybe they were a bunch of horny guys cosplaying as cops to get freebies. Haha. Maybe they did this to more than one. Or maybe not. Either way, it is humorous.

Free pussy? Sweet! I gotta get over the Dollar Store and get me a toy badge. :thumb:

Sound fishy to me.

I'll admit not all cops became cops becasue they are Mensa members but it would be pretty stupid in this day and age of all kinds of stealth recording devices for them to risk their jobs, pensions, reputations, marriages, etc just for a free BJ.
I personally know a few SP's who use hidden recording devices to record who they see for safety reasons. And no I'm not going to tell you guys who they are. They are honest, reputable ladies and they would never use any of the video against a client. It is purely for their safety in case of a bad date.

If they were fake cops how did they get the ladies room information? While they may be able to fake it when it comes to the SP's in question, the hotel staff would know in a second if they flashed a fake badge.

Yeah I know, it sounds fishy to me too. Don't even know why she had mentioned it in the first place. On the other side, I know three cops that were fired for illegal activities, and I don't know many cops.
Liked the Mensa comment, almost made me choke on my coffee. I find the police department usually trolls for candidates one s.d. below the mean.
