So I am going to Osoyoos for the weekend and was wondering if anyone had and any suggestions for must see places or attractions. Never have been before but was on my bucket list as a place to visit. Kelowna and or Kamloops are next lol.

I enjoy wine, food and anything that grows. lol

Looking forward to any suggestions.

There are a host of wineries in that area, up through Naramata. Personal favorite is closer to Oliver, Burrowing Owl, but anything to Peachland or Penticton even isn't that far if you have wheels. NmKip as mentioned is great, as are Church and State and Hester Creek.

Spending some time on the water is a great way to cool off, it's basically a desert there, so stay hydrated. Lots of places to rent canoes, sail boats, jet skis etc.

Check out: http://www.destinationosoyoos.com/events/ There's concerts, yoga in the vineyard, lots to do. I love the area, golf and wine are always high on my list.

Kamloops would be a 4 hour drive at least, I would skip that area.

Kamloops B.C.
There's an restored old Paddle Wheeler you can walk around in as a living museum on the lake shore in Penticton.
Burrowing Owl is nice but I felt slightly overpriced wine that just gave me a headache.
If you travel up the crows nest you can see a dozen or so massive wildlife bronze monuments along the highway, and it's only 15 minutes out of town, and all of them have pull outs to view and take some pictures.
Just before you head up the hill there is a winery called twisted tree.....awesome!
There's also a old pizza joint right on Main Street....can't recall what it's called but it's one of my favourite...and it's right were you cross the bridge to go to Anarchist Mountain.
Do a wine tasting tour with if you can spare a day.....and the next day as well....,to deal with a cowboy sized hangover.

Riza, I live in Penticton and it is pretty busy right now with Peach Festival running right through to early next week. Lots of events, lots of people in town. It is a 50 minute drive north from Osoyoos. Not sure on the long range forecast, but if you are looking to avoid the smoke ... sorry, it's still quite prominent here in the Valley. The Snowbirds performed for opening of Peach Fest tonight, but put on a less risky, abbreviated show due to the concerns with the smoke. The smoke doesn't seem to be stopping anyone from getting out and having fun, though several people I spoke to have complained of sinus and throat issues and dull headaches, etc. Regardless, it figures to be another busy, busy weekend in the South Okanagan. We drove out to Osoyoos for lunch and a few pops 2 weeks ago. I always found it to be a cool little town with a real nice beach. I am sure you will have a blast..

Best damn peaches on this earth are to be found in Osoyoos this time of year. Buy from a fruit stand and enjoy the juiciest peaches.

NK Mip also has a desert tour of sorts. (As in sand, not ice cream.)

There's an astrophysics observatory (radio telescope) between Osoyoos and Penticton as well, and I think they have tours.

All of this fire-dependent, of course.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations. I can tell I will have a full three days of fun. I am thinking the sunblock will be a necessity. I don't burn but get that Filipino dark very quickly lol. Also packing lots of Tylenol for the post wine tasting syndrome. LOL

yvr, not bloody likely. I like my legs arms and skin intact. Not very attracting being in bandages head to toe lol.

BBB I will defiantly be trying the peaches and expecting to have a bushel in the back on the way home.

Bobby, ice cream, I love ice cream, I will give the large try but not hopeful on finishing. :)

Thanks all and have a great weekend. I won't be at my house but others will :)

XOXOXO Riza
