I have always wanted to visit Ocean Falls. All that water does sound inviting when I see the flames jumping the tree-tops.
Too much fuel on the ground too. I am trying to bio-engineer a mutant beetle that eats sticks and dry ground.cover. Not going so well. Keep up the good work firefightets!
The fire set a new all time record for heat and speed.....class 5 is considered the max......This one when it entered the valley in loon lake was a class 6.......200 foot flames that a human could never outrun
Loki..........I fought a fire in front of a place there that had a B+B sign ........If it's initials were D.D. It's fine, but I put out the flames on their doorstep myself.
That valley isn't out of the woods yet, but looking much better than a few days ago.
Your friends will be evacuated for at least another week and a half...the entire infrastructure was vaporized into ash.

Just drove by it 10 minutes ago.....and that's the place without a doubt,...there is a small fire above their place in the hills, but we are working on it now.
I'll put extra guys on it, so no burning logs roll down the hill.
I'd rather remain anonymous as to how you found out........any personal communications from a secure evacuated area is grounds for dismissal.
I tend to get reprimanded enough because of my attitude, and I specialize in steep incline forest fires.....so they do cut me a bit of slack.
