Wow! That's crazy!
Things escalating so quickly like that- Good thing this wasn't in the US where they may of had a gun!

One would think, its only matter of time after robbing people in this manner, that the perpetrators
( aka "thieves who masquerade as escorts" )
would be eventually be tracked & beaten down.
I just didn't ever imagine it would happen this quickly!

The police must have taken your money for evidence eh?

I do hope you get your money back. I don't know the legalities, but
your statement stating the amount taken during the robbery, should match up with the amount taken into evidence,
and if/when convicted, wont the money then be returned to you ?

I don't know how easy this works. What I'm sensing is that meeting the "burden of proof" required in a court of law for a theft isn't quite as easy as taking a victim's testimony, simply using common sense and putting 2 + 2 together. I've already written off the money - if I get it back then bonus.
