The 6 to the.. Other 6

See above.

I am no hockey or basketball buff, but I love my boxing and MMA (even back in the Pride and K1 days). This is going to a very exciting fight or a gong-show.
If I were Mayweather, I'd love to lose on this fight (take out like a 200million loan and bet on McGregor winning and 3-5X that money.. more if I pick the rounds), and then plan for the SECOND fight as a rematch and put all of my titles on the line and demolish him.

thoughts? anyone else excited??

I got suckered into paying for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. Won't be fooled a second time!

This event is all about selling hype. The press conferences will be more entertaining than the actual fight.

That would be an amazing all time date, to see a live boxing match with Mayweather..holy fuck!! I've always loved boxing but mostly kickboxing Maui Thai. I trained in my early twenties for about 3 years and had one fight in Medicine Hat.

That was many years ago.

If only McGregor had nothing to lose and decided to do his own thing in the fight. Too bad he would be thrown in jail

As much as I don't like Mayweather he is one of the smartest boxers ever, and will win this easily based on points!

MMA fight different story.

No video shows up on the link for me? But according to google it will be a 12 round standard boxing match with 10 oz gloves.
Conor is an impressive MMA fighter but taking on a boxer in a boxing ring is a tall order.
Anyone has a punchers chance i suppose but i wish him luck.
No doubt it will be mostly hype. I'll swipe it as i'm a huge combat fan but wouldn't pay.
But hey, I would step in the ring for 100 million too.
Wonder if Conor will be able to get in Floyd's head. lol

They both win with that bloody payout from merchandise, ticket sales, and PPV

Floyd's the best defensive fighter in the game....that shoulder roll and tactical strikes make him a hard target

At least it'll be a better fight than Aldo or Rousey....

On an aside, does anyone notice how coke'd up Bruce Buffer (UFC) seems to be for EVERY match vs. his brother Michael Buffer (Boxing) announcing?

Just half brother. But Bruce is VERY hyper. It's like he's hype incarnate. The "buffer 360" is a thing of legends. He has surpassed his brother's "are you ready to ruuuuumble" (which has some cultural significance because Michael Buffer trademarked that phrase and apparently it spawned two video games?!) with his "iiiiittt's TIIIIIIME!!!"

Unfortunately Gia, the fight is at the MGM grand I believe? So not in Vancouver.. We don't have enough bloody thirsty people here to warrant that kind of ticket.. Montreal would've been a better arena... Even NYC would be better.

McGregor only got his boxing licence from the NAC (Nevada Atheletic Commissions) so it couldn't be anywhere else.. Sorry for getting your hopes up ;(.

21st and prime
4 years ago McGregor collected a welfare cheque for 235 dollars, and now he's going to walk away with 100,000,000+ in one night.

Hard work pays off, and dreams come true.
Bad times don't last, but bad guys do.

I hate Mayweather.

Nothing would make me happier than to see McGregor clock him.

However, I do respect Floyd's skill and, sadly, I don't think McGregor stands a chance. He may not lay a glove on him.

That said, my secret desire is that... 20 seconds after bumping gloves and dancing around, McGregar throws caution to the wind, tears off his gloves and starts bombarding FM's head with wild leg kicks and a body slam take down.

No doubt Floyd would run, but that would sure be more entertaining than what we're gong to end up watching. .

I would pay to see this.

Have you noticed how hard Bruce stomps his leg, usually when he says "FIGHTING!"
Not quite as hard now.
I saw an interview with him, he said he broke his foot or ankle doing that once. Luckily it was the last bout so he toughed it out. lol

I haven't witness the foot stomp.. It's usually when he says it's time.
The Bruce 180 turn when he says fighting (where he makes eye contact with one fighter and then snaps to the other) is quite fun.

Check out UFC 200 for his epic Bruce 360.

revel in his glory. lol

You couldn't pay me enough to watch the fight. However, putting $50 on McGregor wouldn't be the worse thing in the world, given how big of a payday that is at the moment.

Majority of early bets will be put down on Mcgregor.
Wait it out and one will get better value on Mayweather , line will drop to perhaps around -600.
Easy money in my opinion.

Well that was quite a presser. lol
Conor certainly won the trash talk.
I don't know now. Know doubt Floyd would win a technical contest on points but do you think Conor will fight fair? He's a smart guy and hates to loose. He won't want to be embarrassed. He's bigger, stronger, hits harder and has a better chin. I can see Floyd running and dancing to start, peppering him with shots. Conor laughing, chirping and shaking his head , goating Floyd in. Unlike an octagon there are corners where one can get trapped. Conor's only chance is a KO and in a fist fight there's always that chance. Floyds over 40 now and hasn't fought in over 2 years. With all that money and time off he's likely not training like he used to. And clearly comes across like he's underestimating. You never want to take anyone for granted. If Conor can turn it into a scrap it might be interesting..
