What is a good idea for a weekend job

Hey guys, just needed some ideas here. I am going thru a slight downturn financially with some extra expenses coming up, and I was wondering if there were any good ideas for a weekend job. I'm not considering any job though, as I do have a bit of pride and self respect, and that I also have a university education and some post graduate stuff as well. I'm just not sure how much work is available on weekends aside from working retail, in a restaurant/bar or as a security guard etc. Are there any good ideas out there?

You could get your taxi license (Class 4) and do that part time. You could perhaps drive one of those junk pickup trucks.

Gardening? Not sure but if you love the outdoors and just want to unplug, going back to nature always does it for me. Maybe a weekend gardener, raking leaves, taking weeds out of the the garden beds and maintenance type stuff. delivery driver? Waiters make tips, and if you can get into a good restaurant it would probably pay well and little commitment, fri and sat nights and sun...:) Good luck and happy hunting!

It's that time that golf courses hire their maintenance teams. They groom the greens every day but it's an early start (about 5 AM). It gets you outside, away from people and it's not really stressful. Home Depot is another place that might give you weekend only work loading or unloading trucks, stacking things, etc. Hotels also hire weekend staff for public area cleaning, laundry & room deliveries.

If you need money, what's wrong with doing other things? You might not be utilizing your talents in the best way, but slim pickings. Frankly it's a bit offensive to those do work those jobs. If you need the money then buckle down and get to work.

I'm open to work that isn't related to my profession, but at the same time I'm not going to take up any minimum wage job just because I need a bit of extra cash. I am just looking for ideas that are suitable for a professional person in his 30s.

Valet Driver, you can get the nice car thing out of your system that way. I did it and no longer want a sports car.
A hybrid is my goal to own.

Most weekend jobs are not high paying. Unless you turn in a female and become a SP.

Why not go into the east Fraser valley and work as a farm labourer.....Farmers are always looking for tractor operators, relief milkers, or fencers.
The job may be fairly rewarding, and you get to work outside and with animals a fair amount.
Oh!......and a friendly warning, never apply for the job of Bull semen catcher.
They won't describe the job well, but it involves you being under a caged bull with an electrode in his ass, and yourself underneath him holding a jar, collecting his superior genetic material for artificial inseminations.
I mean.....unless your into that sorta thing with a name like Loadshooter..... just remember to wear a faceshield, there tends to be a fair amount of expelled material.

What makes you think every retail worker, waiter/bartender, or security worker is making a minimum wage? Sounds like anything having to do with labour isn't too suitable for you.

Nothing wrong in doing something physical. Some jobs you get paid to get some exercise. Like making deliveries, time goes by fast, get fit, get out of the cubicle. The OP wants to sit in a desk 7 days a week? That sounds boring.

electro-ejaculator.

He's a professional. He could start his own business. With this http://www.allvetsupply.com/elforbu.html and a good hydraulic squeeze, he'd be in real demand just coming into breeding season!

Are you white? Look up the chinese/korean newspapers and advertise as an English tutor to Grades 1-8. As a white guy, you have instant credibility.

What are your strengths? What do you enjoy doing?

Having an odd/weekend job can be a fun time to express your unique talents and dreams-- pursue something you love doing but perhaps doesn't make enough as a full time career.

I thought about various things up to and including a side job as a realtor, financial advisor, sales in other things, and a male escort.

Alas I am lazy and my own schedule is extremely hectic. It'd be nice to know what's available to make some extra stripper money tho...

The white cred thing would work overseas, but not a chance in the Lower Mainland.
