you realize many girls won't be working?

Also it's a Sunday, and a long weekend.

Even on an ordinary Sunday, you'll find many reputable girls are taking time off, so the choice will be limited. You'll have a better luck prebooking on weekdays.

My guess about the demand is the opposite, lower than usual. I assume most clients have a spouse or SO (no scientific data, but one agency estimated 80% of their clients were married). It's hard to believe those attached clients would stray on the Valentine's Day.

Occasional clients are not making a big portion of the business for reputable SPs. Those who participate regularly know the drill and try to schedule around known "family time" occasions. Even you said Valentine's day is not special; why would others think differently / seek a paid company?

It might be an opportunity for the ladies, only due to the fact fewer of them are working. Some SPs only take a longer type of appointment / event on the occasion.

I've long forgone it because I have been lonely through it for so many years, but others might not and would like to feel special on a "special" day.

It makes me laugh when guys complain so much about this and expect such high standards, from such an unregulated "industry", where society (and the law) condemns it and most people disapprove of it, it attracts all kinds of people, including criminals, the uneducated, the mentally ill, the uncouth and uncivilized. The way it is now, it completely makes sense considering how society treats sex & sex education thinking its "dirty", and how we slut shame women, and the way society in general completely condemns this industry and anyone who is involved in it, like an SP, can say goodbye to her entire social life once she's "outed". Why would so many normal women even want to be involved with anything like this? It makes sense that it involves the type of people that it does, most of the time. Yes I realize that there are women who are normal and educated/civilized who do this, and they exist as members on this board and are probably reading this, but they are not the majority, and I totally agree with one of the SP's who mentioned that pretty much all of the ones who post on PERB in the escort advertising section are reputable (probably, can't be sure, but it always has been that way in my experience).

Had lunch (purely social and off the clock) with her. Within a one hour space, the same guy texted her four or five times. She said she was ignoring him because he asks so many questions and tries to bargain her down. By the time we got in my car he had posted here what a bitch she was, and what poor communications she had.
What Caramel said goes both ways. Some guys are just plain fucked up. Total respect for the women that put up with their childish nonsense.

This goes on all day & evening. It's why I pointed out that SP's aren't just working when they're with a client. Another favourite is the "please text" and the guy calls repeatedly never imaging that she requests text because she may not be in the situation to take calls. Bargaining is common, requests for services outside her scope of work are common as are "I'm hot so do I get a deal" or "I've got a huge cock so do I get a discount?" comments. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

thanks for pointing that out, and other members for pointing this out, you guys are SO right! it goes both ways, there are probably MORE time wasting fuck faces that text prank scam calls compared to a real serious inquiring client.

oh and PS, I'm not just referring to this thread by the OP, this one is pretty tame and understandable, but there have been LOTS and lots of posts and threads complaining about the entire industry and the ads on LL/backpage etc, and in reviews & 411, on a regular basis.

@Caramel. Don't forget to mention the "provider on provider" hostility. It's often assumed that the males are responsible for all the problems but that's not the case. The women can be outright evil to each other, booking fake appointments, harassing them, outing them on websites, etc. The other dirty little secret is that some pooners aren't that inward looking. They experience bad sessions or are black listed but never look at themselves. They never think "was it me?". Or, they get so deep into the world of paid sex they become disconnected from human interaction with a female.

And you can't blame Leolist or BP for allowing false ads. I realize this is Generation Snowflake, but it's a given that cruising or getting women off BP or LL carries some level of risk. Some guys like that risk as some guys like cruising. It's an entirely different mindset. Some of the most respected SP's on this site use Leolist. And a whole bunch of women who gave up on review boards now advertise on LL or BP. It's like living 60 miles north of Revelstoke and buying a low rider Honda and being angry at Honda when you get stuck for the entire winter.

agreed, and I can't believe there are evil women SP's out there that actually book fake appointments and such, I just can't even fathom this, I know it happens but I've never done that or would ever think of doing it to anyone...I know on CL they repeatedly flag competitor ads, somehow those horrible providers always stay on CL, but everyone else gets flagged off. I don't know much about what happens in other SP's lives, I have zero SP friends or know anyone else in my personal life who does this, well I do know of a few who I went to HS with, but I don't talk to them anymore and they are usually the ones who do this out of desperation and have very bad reviews. I used to know a few a long time ago but have since cut ties. One of my old SP friends actually passed away! I just heard about that through perb of all places. She got a lot of flack for no reason on here (for her looks) and that always made me angry because she used to be a decent SP.
