Absolutely worth watching last night's episode (final one of the season) ... everything was great except for that little dig on Canada at the end when he stated 'migrating to Canada is never a good reason unless you're born there or a goose'. But all in good fun in that very John Oliver style!
Last episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by Dave Chapel is one worth watching too.
Found both to be a nice wrap up of those whole long 'Merican Politically centered shows.
And of course, do google search for Steven Colbert's animated video "The Dawn of the Donald" in a very Gotham inspired rise to Politics. Short 3.5 minute video that'll certainly make you all at minimum smile at the clever creation !
Agreed, SNL has rocked it lately.Great to see Chappelle back in form (let's hope he's really BACK). That SNL was one of the funniest I've ever seen!
And couldn't agree more with John Oliver's sentiment on 2016. I lost three ATF's this year - THREE FFS!! :smash:

I liked how Chappelle went off on a bit of a rant followed by "sorry Lorne". Like he knew he was a bit beyond that grey zone he can operate in.

I still get choked up thinking about Prince. His music and his sexual persona were so important to me as a teenage boy growing up in the 80s. He basically taught me everything I needed to know about women.
And to add to all the great talent we lost in 2016, our dog of 16 years died in August.

It's the same here for me. For the first time in many years I did not attend any weddings this year but did attend two Celebration of Life ceremonies. The saddest thing was both were vibrant, strong young women who passed, I suppose the term is by 'misadventure'.
I think John likes Canada - when he makes fun of it (and he makes fun of EVeRY country) he's always gentlest on Canada.

If this election has taught me anything, it's that more and more have little to no empathy to others, myself as guilty as any other. It saddens me the statistics he showed about the fake, unconfirmed news that gets pumped through social media and blindly reposted by thousands.
On one hand we have Facebook encouraging people to vote which is great, but on the other hand your platform is rampant with fake news and memes marketed directly to those voters on one side or the other.
Anyways. As a parent of teenagers it is hard to get them to question things on social media, and question sensationalized headlines. Research things if your that interested in it. It's a different media experience these days.
