$75 tickets for what will probably be the best music played at QET this summer.

Amex card holders can buy tickets in advance for shows in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg. Public sale starts on March 4.

Get em while they are hot if you are a Floyd Fan.

No sense waiting for David and Roger to kiss and make up. This is the band to see :D

ME TOO...I don't like the QET as a venue much (prefer a cleaner sound!) but I have heard such amazing things!
It depends who is playing.

I saw Neil Young do an acoustic set solo years ago and it was memorable because the sound was very good. His voice, the Hammond Organ and all his guitars were perfect. Not "Pitchy" like in American Idol. LOL

Bryan Adams way back when he did an electric set at QET; I tend to agree with your sentiment. A bit harsh with the speakers being over driven.

Watching a few music documentaries about Muscle Shoals Alabama, The Wrecking Crew in LA, Abbey Road Studios etc; all the musicians have their personal favs where to record. All seem to be saying certain construction and materials made a difference.

For small venues the Orpheum, The Centre and the Commodore are hard to beat no matter what music is played. Only one that is similar size to QET is the Centre and I don't even know if its open any more.

Anyways, got my tickets and I am pumped for a Brit Floyd experience.

Chan centre is the best venue, at least on the music side of the event.
I have seen a few jazz artists there and agree the sound is good. The seating layout can only be classified as weird with fences and posts blocking sight lines. It is almost like the venue is an afterthought as in "what do we do with this space"?

The Centre is WONDERFUL. I have performed on that stage. Terrific warm sound & a great experience. I was also fortunate enough to record at Little Mountain with the same chorus on their last album. What a thrill to be in that studio!!!

I saw Naturally Seven at the Vogue during JazzFest last year, and Neil Diamond (yes, really! It was AWESOMESAUCE) at Rogers Arena. STILL never seen a show at the Commodore, despite having wanted to all my life. LOVE live music! Great as an aphrodisiac.

I saw Brit Floyd on PBS a while back. They're very good. Would definitely see them live if I had a chance.
