"Think it was 20/20 or from a program called sex tv on showcase" Particulary men in there 60's to 80's especally those who where still able to drive a car . Califorina driving laws are diffrent they re test senior citizens for driving ablity . If they dont pass they lose their drivers license. At lest they did at the time of the documentry so if your an 80 year old man who can drive a car you can pretty much fuck any woman you want in the retirement home . Turns out these guys also use the servces of prostitutes The problem is that they tend to do it after their wife dies . Never having used an escort before they take the attiude that they did not used a condom with their wife why should they use it with the escort . Money and the abilty to drive stops any objections a that a woman in the retirement home may have about condom use. This makes me sad... For the girl, for the guys who think this is a good idea, for unsuspecting wives having their health put at resk. The truth is, the majority of high end girls are far more vigilant about our sexual health than the average civilian. We get tested monthly and never practice unsafe sex, and am happy to say I've never contracted any STD in my life and can't say the same for a lot of my civie friends. Please, stay safe while you're having fun, and don't put your health or the health of others at risk. Also if you see an ad that seems highly unlikely that a lady would make such choices for herself, please don't perpetuate the abuse

Of course it's risky- so don't partake if you feel threatened.
And of course it's exponential- as is just about everything.
Such as the SP that fucks/sucks 2 dudes a day- even on this low scale- which easily equals upwards of 300 DIFFERENT guys a year depending upon days worked etc. Over 10 years would be 3000 different dudes- at a minimum. What's the likelihood that some asshole has passed something along to her? Or her back to some random dude- known or unknown?
And the reverse is true as well. The average PERBITE that might see maybe 10 SPS a year- does that not mean the pool of potential risky partners is now 30,000 deep?
This is an extremely risky "hobby" if you want to dissect it.

This hobby is not what I would necessarily call "risky" if you go about it the right way. No more risky than any other kind of sex anyways, assuming you play safe and only with reputable ladies that take their (and your) health seriously. people from the south-east asia or african regions; and
IV drug users.
There are 7 billion people on this earth, and we were all borne from parents who somehow transferred some bodily fluids including those of us in North America and this has been going on since forever. Its not like there are aids epidemics here in NA right now. I'm not saying that everyone should do it, but jesus christ really everyone should stop the scare-mongering. If you don't want to engage and if you think that putting a condom makes you fail-safe then put a condom on - and then you should have nothing to worry about regardless of what other people are doing.

AIDS is the least of concerns. Statistically it's very unlikely to catch it, but every STI is a concern, especially with more antibiotic resistance.
The stress, discomfort, pain, forced celibacy, cost, time and general interference with regular day-to-day life dealing with an STI might change some minds.

Well, I would think AIDs and Hep B are the most of my concerns because they're the ones that can debilitate/kill you while having no cure. But catching them is a very, very low probability.
If it eases your mind here is a note from the CDC regarding antibiotic resistant gonorrhea which is what you're likely referring too...I woudn't worry too much considering only one case has ever been detected...in Japan:

Herpes and HPV cannot be cured but they're not going to kill you either, and wearing condoms won't necessarily protect you since transmission can be had with skin to skin contact too. And every other STD is curable.
Of course getting an STD would suck, and everyone has their own risk tolerances. But my point still stands - its ridiculous how everyone goes on about how people who engage in unprotected sex is akin to a death sentence when it simply is not. Your biggest risk - by far - is pregnancy.
