There's more research being done on the subject but its coming along slowly. The pharmaceutical companies can't make money off guys quitting porn...tthey'd rather just treat the symptoms with Viagra, cialis, antidepressants, antianxiety pills, ...whatever
I'm not antiporn..hell I watch it to!! But over the past 10 years I've noticed changes in men..especially younger ones..plus ive had many clients confide in me about their issues. I cant deny that porn can potentially be quite harmful.
And if you think the internet affects the human brain, imagine how the brains of young people growing up with constant access to the internet, Facebook, Twitter, etc. through their cell phones are having their brain affected. I teach part-time courses and students are constantly checking their cell phone during my lectures. I would tell them if they can't last thru a 45 minute lecture without looking at their cell phone they have a problem, but I suspect most already know this and don't want to hear it from me.I haven't spent any time researching how internet in general affects the human brain..but am now interested in looking into it. The book mentions its not so much the type of content thats causing the issues, but the way it's delivered, the dopamine high is prolonged by endless novel content.
The Western World is not the problem, it's places like India, China and Africa which have produced most of the population growth.Perhaps it is the birth control device that will save our species from over-populating the Earth.

Traumatic Masturbatory Syndrome and Pornography = Unsatisfactory Heterosexual Sex Life
A friend of mine recently told me that his sex life had been absolutely horrible over the past year. After a huge spat with his wife last summer over a misunderstanding, their sexual relations had turned cold.
During this cold spell, my friend resorted to masturbation and pornography to relieve his sexual urges. Studies have shown that a large percentage of males masturbate several times a week, if not daily. So none of this sounded unusual to me at this point.
However, after about four months, he reconciled with his wife in the bedroom. But to his dismay he was experiencing a frustrating bout of inorgasmia. Inorgasmia is the inability of a male (in this case) to achieve orgasm during sexual intercourse.
He was also finding that it was taking him a very long time to orgasm at all in the bedroom even though his wife was open to different oral and manual sexual methods. He even remarked that he sometimes had difficulty keeping an erection during intercourse because his penis felt a numb sensation during the act. When he did orgasm, it took him over 30 minutes, which was a lot longer than it used to.
Needless to say, both he and his wife had become extremely affected by this. He was concerned that his manhood was not functioning properly and thus became anxious during any sexual situation, which further affected his performance in bed. His wife began to think that he was not attracted to her like he used to be, though he insisted that he was.
After about three months of this, my friend visited a sex therapist to discuss his problem. My friend recounted his huge argument with his wife, the period of months when his only sexual release was masturbation, his masturbation method & his use of pornography, and his subsequent sexual problems when he reunited with his wife in bed.
The therapist told my friend that it was the way he masturbated and used pornography during those 'lonely' months that led to his lack of sexual performance when he was with his wife again.
My friend masturbated in a prone position that mimicked missionary-style intercourse using pillows on the side of his bed. The therapist told him that masturbating in such a prone position (called Traumatic Masturbatory Syndrome) caused the very sexual problems that he was now experiencing.
Basically masturbating in such a way puts extreme pressure on the penis which can not be reproduced during normal intercourse (and can damage the penis in some cases). My friend was essentially conditioning himself to be the only person able to give himself pleasure!
They have to because it's their job. I can suggest saying that you have "Anhedonia"; they don't have to know what that means and you can explain it to the doctor in private. Then when you see the doctor tell you have performance issues.I find that when I use clinics, the girls ask very intrusive questions as to exactly why you wish to see a doctor. I've come to realize I can't go to a clinic to ask for a prescription for Viagra or Cialis because of the staff.
What other options are there?
that's horse shit rayAs one of the guys getting older and needing 'assistance', it gets difficult when you don't have a family doctor. When my family doctor retired, no-one took over his practice.

I guess you'll have to get over it. Most staff have access to your file.As one of the guys getting older and needing 'assistance', it gets difficult when you don't have a family doctor. When my family doctor retired, no-one took over his practice.

Also google nofap. There is a big no porn no masturbation movement happening due to young males with ED problems.I started reading Your Brain on Porn; Internet Pornography and the Emerging Science of Addiction by Gary Wilson last night & I've almost finished it. Wow..it's a really interesting read. I highly recommend it, especially to anyone out there who watches a lot of porn & is having performance issues. Or even to any skeptics out there..I suggest pick up this book even if it's just to humour yourself.
I've been doing a lot of research on the issue over the past year or so. I'm really impressed with Gary's book & his take on it.
Umm. Duh. That's not my point. Maybe it'll eventually come to you. Lol.You can buy cough syrup with codeine over the counter at the Shopper's Drug Mart pharmacy. They have two different sizes. As for a viagra prescription, it all depends on which doctor you see. Also, the effects of OxyContin and Viagra are very different.
