Or is this a non issue in this election?
Haven't heard any of the party leaders mention this.

In my opinion it's a non issue for the overwhelming majority of the public and while it might get some lip service I don't expect any thing to change in the short term. I'm sure more "study" of the issue would be required first.

The Harper Conservatives are running ads saying that the Trudeau Liberals are in favor of Brothels. I think that means that the Liberals have said something that the Conservatives don't agree with. The Harper Conservatives have said that because Provinces and Municipalities aren't "Enforcing the Law" federal police will have to be stationed everywhere to raid Brothels and AMPS, chase down Pimps and Human Traffickers and ensure that Johns are punished.

A "study"?
Are they looking for participants?

Nah, despite the "anybody but harper" ministry here (which is a ridiculous way to vote), nobody cares. Nobody knows. I've asked people about c-36 and i get a blank look. What's that?
I've watched and read everyday, not once has angry tom or jt even mentioned it let alone say they will get rid of it.
All i've read is that the only one's charged under it was people trafficking anyway.
According the the boards i've been on no ladies are admitting to a loss of business.
Their are much more important things to running a country to worry about.

The NDP is taking a stand against C-36! However, when I asked if they were going to take the advice of Amnesty International to completely decriminalize sex work I got no response
Regardless (and I know I'm risking judgement and persecution on this board ) I'm voting NDP. They have been the most vocal about abolishing the bill and revisiting the Supreme Court ruling on Bedford vs. Canada.
Happy voting y'all ❤

Saying it's a ridiculous way to vote makes assumptions about what issues matter to other voters and you cannot assume that. If for example the NDP and Liberals are not significantly far apart on the particular issues that matter to a particular voter (don't assume they give every issue the same relative importance as you), then it's quite reasonable the thing that might tip the scale is which candidate is already the closest to winning.

Personally I voted for a specific party, and not just the one most likely to defeat Harper because the Liberals and NDP disagreed on something important to me, but barring that one significant issue I might've voted for the other if they had a better chance of overcoming the Conservative candidate.

The reason they are saying that is because the Liberals voted against C-36. Voting against C-36 doesn't mean they are in favor of brothels. It just means they would have implemented a different C-36 if they were in power. The claims are basically campaign rhetoric.

IIRC the Greens are the only ones that are favor of legalization.
