new Canucks security

If the Canucks new security come on strong , its going to really backfire.
i,m older guy , long time canuck fan ,but if i have to go threw airport type security , empty pockets etc, submit to search , frisk ,treated like apotential terrorist by some cop wanna be ....it will be my last game to watch live.
This could be a huge big mistake TREVOR !!!:doh:

It's mandated by the League not Trevor.

It was in place when I went to see Dave Matthews Band Sept 2. Security were testing it out with VPD standing nearby.

I suppose there have been too many warnings to Sports, entertainment and big stadiums to increase their security accordingly.

I think its more fear mongering security companies being parisites to our sports and entertainment.

I did heard about this but what I find interesting is that I recently went to 2 concerts and was barley searched Showed my tickets, raised both arms and just walked in.

New procedure setting in going forward now. I have another Rock concert that I am attending last week in November at the Commdore. I'll see if I'm searched more vigorously.

Same thing at BC place, which holds a lot more people. As long as you don't have a bag/backpack, you walk right in.

I've done a few of these gigs as a security person at sports events. Min wage, you can't really do your job as the wand goes off red all the time even for a gum foil wrapper. You just go on instinct who to ask to have their stuff taken out of pockets. Just if you do your job the line would be very very long and you would get complaints left and right.
I no longer feel like doing that as I felt like a fool being a rent a cop so I just pick up some extra money doing Parking cashier now.

Ha! I went to the "game" last week. The security was a hot little blonde. I hoped she wanted to pat me down, but I wasn't so lucky. Guess I don't look threatening enough!

It will be interesting to see if there is the new security protocols are in effect for the ACDC concert tonight at Rogers.

Wow I never even heard of the Canuck boycott cause of the league wide safety mandate. I feel so out of the loop.

I have been to a few games this year and its no big deal at all. The people that slow the lines up are the ones that bring a backpack to the game.
I've seen people bring more luggage to a Canuck game than I take with me to Vegas.
