I'm done, guys, almost done for. My recent diagnosis was and is every man's secret fear. The treatment involves chemical castration, in an effort to lower the testosterone level that excites the tumor. The tumor is now fast asleep and radiation begins next month. If my sex life ever returns, it will be very different, but I console myself with the notion that one has to be alive to enjoy sex. I'm now in the fight of my life, and it makes my escapades in the '70's look like the adolescent adventures that they were.
What remains are the memories, the glory of days past. First of all a big shout to Madam Jess! Before she dropped from sight, Jessica Parker achieved legendary status as a courtesan and a proprietor. CCE will not be the same without her, nor will this town. When I think of the joy that little place on Frances St. has given, I'm lost in wonder. It was there that Jasmine and I met. After my late ex-wife, and my present wife, lover and girlfriend, Jasmine remains the deepest impression on my pleasure domain. When she went indy, it was a privilege to help her outfit her condo, and turn it into a man-cave that still draws reviews on its own. I had fallen for her when she was at CCE, but the time since then has only allowed me to fall even deeper under her spell, a spell that she never even cast.
In my reviews of her, I mentioned her athleticism, her intelligence, and her daring. These are attributes that only enhance her superhuman sexuality. Add her awesome height and grace to that, and one can see the devastating impact she can have on the lonely or unfulfilled. To take her out socially is an honour, because she is more than arm candy, and her education and breeding show, reflecting well on the good taste of her date. I have basked in that reflected glory, and I shall miss our social outings. I shall miss our interludes even more! Those who have seen her based on my reviews or others', will never contradict me . . . she is the whole package. Beauty, brains, brawn, and the courage of a goddess. How I shall miss the joy of phoning her to set up a date, and how I will miss the longing as the appointed time approaches. The lady is half my age, but so knowing, so well-versed, so well read. She's also very easy to look at, fun to touch, unexpectedly honest about her sex drive, and vocally orgasmic. Never again will I meet such a combination of talent and class in the same package. It is my hope that she finds her voicemail full of requests for a date on her return from holidays, but I regret that I shall not be among that group.
Be well, gang, and play safe,
whitemoustache

Yes, Cherry, that was whitemoustache you saw hobbling about with a cane in Value Village. My compliments on your conspiratorial smile. The cancer drugs have lowered my pain threshold so far that I can feel every old injury. Thankfully, the radiation begins in two weeks.

I am speechless, and heartbroken, and deeply regret not having had the chance to get to know you better face to face, sir. My most elevated thoughts are being directed your way. Daily. My father, 79 years young, is a prostate cancer survivor, thank God. Early detection & fast advanced treatment saved his life. He is now cancer free and still capable of shooting his age at the golf course. (he says it gets easier every year now but it takes him longer to get there.) I wish you HIS type of recovery, my dear wm.

The Little Red Headed Girl.

Interesting, as Artie Johnson used to say. All I had to do was mention Jasmine and Jessica Parker in the same post and I had CCE checking out my profile. Same old whitemoustache, but the bombardment begins at 14:00 hrs on Tuesday.

It's been a year since I updated this post, and a lot has happened, including the unexpected HDD crash that made several recent posts, no matter by whom, disappear into the digital dump. A crash is not selective, it just happens. Very like life, itself. Well, the radiation did a number on the tumor. I am impressed with the sharpshooters that run the guns at the Cancer Agency, they take pride in their accuracy, and have CT scans to work from. I told them to consider carpet bombing if the cancer proved resistant. It wasn't necessary. The dear old volunteer at the Prostate Centre had warned me that they would turn me into an old woman, and I now know what she meant. The antiandrogenic drugs deprive the tumor of the testosterone that it thrives on, making it easier to fry with radiation. The result is that I have the pain threshold of an old woman, and the boys in the engine room are on a lengthy holiday. Shi kata gai nai, as the Japanese say, can't be helped. It may be a while before I post a new review, but I'll still be lurking in the shadows, although I've avoided the dirt nap that was looming.:hippie:

What delightful news! Avoiding dirt naps is far preferred to picking out satin coffin linings!
