Last night I received a call from a buddy of mine wanting to know if I could pick him up from a small bar on Sargent. He had a few to many and decided he needed a ride home. I was at my condo in the village so agreed and headed out to pick him up. As I turn on to Sargent I noticed two attractive women hanging out in the parking lot of the old 711.

One of the ladies had long dark hair, and was wear a little black dress and heels. The other lady was blonde and a little taller, and she was wearing a light blue skin tight dress and matching heels. Now for the record I am not into street walkers. Been there did that, just not like it was on Albert street many years ago. However these ladies were attractive enough to warrant a second look. However the big head was doing the thinking and something just didn't fit for the area.

So now I have my buddy and we are leaving the bar, when we just about run into the same to ladies as they are walking by the bar. The women are pleasant and say hello, and we responded back, but again red flags where going up all over the place. Two attractive ladies walking Sargent at 1:30 on a Monday night.

The only answer I could come up with was a little sting operation.

No! Never offer a ride to a SW! Back about 20 years ago, a buddy of mine, who I used to play hockey with, was driving on Main St. He stopped for a red light (traffic light that is), at the Euclid intersection. An SW jumped into his unlocked passenger side, and quickly produced a syringe, which she claimed was full of HIV infected blood. She demanded a ride to a Transcona residence. At another red light stop, he grabbed her wrist and wrestled the needle out of her hand and drove his SUV to the public safety building. He caught the attention of a cop walking outside. The SW accused him of trying to rape her. They were both brought inside and he was accused of being a john who 'just didn't want to pay'. The cop didn't even bother to look for the needle. He explained that he was (happily) married, but still was not released for an hour. Whether this happened 20 years ago or yesterday, a crack ho is a crack ho. Avoid the nightmare!
