I'm looking to buy new bedding in the form of seamless silk. I'm not much of a shopper/hate shopping. Any advice on where to buy, brand names, quality and value, would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time and trouble.:)

I'd never heard of seamless silk sheets til now. I see Amazon and eBay both have them.

I've had good online purchasing experiences there and with Pottery Barn.

I have Bamboo sheets and like them...Silk gets stuck in my spurs ,when I wear them too bed.

Is it just me or ?....My mind can not process the fact that a guy named Badbadboy....shops at Pottery Barn...Just sayin'

I'm not bad, I was just made this way ;)

I bought a bed that is not a common size in Canada. Pottery Barn has a good selection of Cal King sheets.

Thx 3b and sybian. The silk sheets are not for my soon to come camping expedition in the mountains in the Merritt area. They are great for sleeping and help dissipate the romantic myst from a horizontal tryst. I have some nearly indestructible blankets from my grandfather that are older than I am. My not so PC gramps called then "Indian" blankets.

Those "Indian" blankets are probably Trapper, or Hudson Bay Blankets and are wool.
One underneath you, and one over top will keep the frost out.
You can achieve the same thermal warmth on a camping trip, with one warm body on either side of you....But the one underneath will start to squirm, causing a horrible nights sleep.
Oh...and another tip....Keep your lube at the bottom of your sleeping bag...That way you won't burn your fingers, when your forced to defrost it over the Coleman stove.
I'm not a Silk sheet guy, as you may have guessed...I'm more of a flannel guy...Or rubber if a bottle of oil presents itself.

You are right, Sybian. They are wool. Tough and warm. My group are all male, unfortunately. A motley crew of seasoned campers to city slickers. I find great joy in seeing some of these city lads starting a fire and using an axe for the first time. The look of awe on their faces when they see the night sky full of stars is worth the effort of "baby sitting" these guys for a few days. The sons I never had I guess

Thx for the tips but we have a strict rule of one man per tent. Hmmmm, maybe its time to invite some of the fairer sex. Another expedition, I suppose. Volunteers? I was supposed to teach Cami to swim. ;-)

Happy Trails, apl16

Yes, Natalia. They are wonderful! I have some sleeping issues including overheating, possibly due to some of your pics ;-), the comfort and feel are great. Definitely, one of my better investments. Thank you for your help! :)
