Ben E. King
'Stand By Me' Singer Dies 4/30/2015

So damn sad, my heart goes out to him and everyone he's touched with his positive energy. Such a great soul all around, you will be missed.

Heard this song in the movie Stand By Me as a kid and instantly touched my heart. What an unfortunate start to the day, Rest in paradise Mr. King.

Unfortunately singers and actors from the 60's are going to start dying like flies. The Stones are all in their 70's, the two living Beatles are in their 70's, Clint Eastwood and Jack Nicholson are both closer to 80 than 70, and even ACDC and Aerosmith are in their late 60's. Add Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro to the list, and like it, or not, entertainers we've known for a long time are going to be moving on.

so true. Can't understand why the general public are in shock when news of a 70+ yr old entertainer passes.
I guess the general public want these entertainers immortalize.
