Mentioned a couple times already, 49 Parallel has been my go to lately.

Do they do their own roasting?

Checked out their website but could find any info.

I'll give em a try when I am in their area

I like my Maxwell House dark roast. Cheapest coffee I can find but fairly good. Used to love trying all the coffees in the world, but then I got old, and settled for Maxwell and a french press. I still want to try Kopi Luwak coffee. Supposed to be the most expensive coffee in the world. I will save it for the days I am feeling shitty.

This guy will skip the monkey shit ,Kopi Luwac coffee.
This morning I was preoccupied with sometihng outside my calving pens, and built a fire for warmth...It's just above freezing here at 3600 feet first thing in the morning..
I measured out some Presidents Choice gourmet mountain roast, and let her perk for 20 minutes.
Still my favorite, with a little smoke, and ash thrown in to remind me I'm alive.

I have been to Brazil Agentwhite. I was in Minas , they do mostly mining there for various minerals. It's not very safe in that area, but they do have good coffee...And if you like dark skinned women, they love light coloured hair, and blue eyes.
thanks for the advice! I already have a trip booked to Rio de Janeiro for a few weeks :)

Miss Tanya..I'm always in a Mason Jar drinking mood, but part of that is I can be a kilometer from my kitchen, and I still am in my back yard.
Do you buy your Kombucha pre-made or brew it yourself ?
I used to drink the stuff too, but now I'm onto Chaga mushroom tea. It doesn't take as much time because it's dehydrated, and has the same level of anti-oxidents. Although it's more expensive.

Yes they do BBB, on the location at Main and 13th. Lots of other cafes carry 49th Parallel coffee these days, but the only cafe that makes it as well as Parallel is Prado (Commercial and 4th, or Abbot and Hasting). Brothers own the two cafes. BUT, if you buy a pound of (the very same coffee) at Prado, you get a free drink. But not at 49th Parallel. Weird, huh? Brother is edging the other out...kinda. I also forgot to add Milano to my list - you turned me on to them I think BBB. I went there for a meeting recently and realized how seriously they take coffee. Nice location too, very quiet.
