I always thought as a right leaning political thinker we were more inclined to protect individual rights but the past 14 years have been pretty grim when you look at the bills that have been past by the conservative governments at the federal level and liberals in BC . Sad ! They think about the wallet first... constitutional rights of the people is way down the list these days .

It will be a free for all from all the Police Dept in the Province.
They can issue bogus tickets. You will not have the right to cross examine the officer.
The old system was very simple. If the officer knows the ticket was bogus, all he had to do is NOT show up.
The new system will not give you the right to question so therefore it will be up to this Kangaroo Court system.

That's because 'conservatives' in Canada are still a little left of center. Overall though, I'd still opt for this instead of American conservativism.
